Levetiracetam b6

Common Questions and Answers about Levetiracetam b6

keppra

Avatar m tn When did the sexual problems start. was it before or after starting your medication? These meds may be causing the problem. I did look them up and there was not anything in the side effects category that mentioned this problem. But, these meds can be very sedating and they do work on the central nervous system. I take it your using them to control seizures? The Phenobarbital has a very long half life, meaning it stays in the system for a long time. Your taking a pretty high dose.
Avatar f tn I see these color blobs that move in my vision that shouldn’t be there, they don’t show any connection to stimuli so I don’t have synesthesia. I’m on levetiracetam aka keppra and clobazam aka onfi. When I was on oxcarbazepine (trileptal) and levetiracetam (keppra) I started having these weird headaches where I would lose my vision, hearing, smell, and coordination, but I could still speak and feel. The doctors are pretty much stumped. Has anyone ever had a situation like this?
Avatar m tn I am an Indian Citizen living in the US. I have been taking LEVETIRACETAM (to control partial-onset seizures) since 2011. Currently, I am in perfect health conditions. As a precautionary medicine, I get the medicine from India either myself or through a friend/family member traveling between India and the US. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, I am running short of medicine. I have my prescription and medical certificates to support my condition.
Avatar m tn I am taking tablets for my minor neural problem for the past 4 years, The tablets i am consuming are Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) -300mg and Levetiracetam (keppra) -250mg. Now I am looking for a tablet which should have both of this content in the same. I feel guilty that I am taking more tablets and my health condition is improved now. so I planned to reduce my tablet dosage. so I look over this- i.e.
Avatar f tn can levetiracetam 750mg (2 2 times a day) be taken with amlodipine 10mg (1 time a day) and albuterol 90mcg (2 pumps 4 times a day). Can these be mixed? I this too much medicine?
571167 tn?1223214465 I do not believe the medications the medical community has place him on are worth the side-effects. They placed him on Levetiracetam, Benztropine, and Abilify, and the side-effects are NOT worth the potential benefit of what--self-control? I have worked with youth in placement for 18 years, and these medications do not make any significant difference in their judgments because they do not change their value system.
9993344 tn?1407128563 My mom is currently taking Diazepam, Levetiracetam and Alprazolam.
Avatar m tn At this point of time he is not able to speak more than two words in a row. His Hb is 8.9. He is on valporate, topiramate and levetiracetam. His MRI scan revealed "Assymetric Right Temporal Horn prominence without any difinite evidence of mesial scerosis" His walking pattern is also erratic. Most often he adopts "Toe Walking". When he walks slowly, which is rare, he walks alright. Always he tries to rush up and runs in an imbalancing manner.
Avatar f tn Hi there, the various side effects with keppra or levetiracetam are dizziness, irritability, tiredness, fatigue, severe allergic reactions, extreme dizziness, drowsiness, weakness or tiredness, memory loss, behavior changes like aggression, panic attacks, restlessness, new or worsening seizures etc. in the period immediately after a seizure attack, it could be the post ictal phase or confusion. Consult your neurologist for your evaluation and change of anti epileptic medication. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn for me 100mg of b6 and Emetrol worked wonders. my doc also told me about b6 and unisom sleeping pills(i know! i never would have thought to take sleeping pills for nausea) but several of my friends swears it works. most def give your doc a call to see which would be best for you.
Avatar m tn Pharmacotherapy usually involves drug modulating GABAergic neurotransmission like Levetiracetam, Piracetam, Clonazepam or Valproic acid against prescription. I suggest you to consult neuro physician for his further evaluation and management. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn There have been reports of effective seizure control from patients following up monthly. They are using Levetiracetam (Keppra) as an adjuvant to another first line anti-epileptic medication. Most of them are suffering from partial seizures. And the first line drug is mostly Tegretol. Only a few patients have complained about mood swings so far. All had predominantly depressed mood, but not to the extent of being called depressive disorder. This must be about 10% of the patients.
Avatar m tn carbamazepine, clobazam, lamotrigine, levetiracetam, oxcarbazepine and topiramate. These medications rarely stop the seizures completely but reduce the frequency and severity of them. I hope this helps, my prayers are with you and your son.
1156914 tn?1300571629 So we lowered the sodium valproate to a third of what it was and we added levetiracetam, which was also effective but like with the sodium valproate on its own, my body seemed to start tolerating it and I eventually reached the maximum recommended dose. That's when my neuro decided to refer me to someone more senior (that was back in March this year.) He now has me on sodium valproate and lamotrigine.
Avatar m tn Pharmacological treatment when required would indicate anticonvulsants, like piracetam, levetiracetam, sodium valproate etc. 5-hydroxytryptophan can cause some improvement. Consult your neurologist. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar m tn 2X DAY, 10) METOCLOPRAMIDE 5MG. 4X DAY, 11) LEVETIRACETAM 1,000MG. 3X DAY, 12) DIVALPROEXE 1,000MG. 3X DAY, 13) VIMPAT 100MG. 2X DAY, 14) ZONISAMIDE 100MG. 3BEDTIME, 15) LANSOPRAZOLE 30MG. 2X DAY, 16) SUCRALFATE 1GM. 3X DAY, 17) COLESTIPOL 1GM. 3X DAY. I'VE TRIED VIAGRA BEFORE WITH NO RESULTS. I WAS ON WELLBUTRIN BEFORE ZIPRASIDONE. AT THAT TIME WHEN I HAD AN ORGASM I DIDN'T EJACTULATE ALTHOUGH NOW WHEN I AM ABLE TO ACHIEVE ORGASM I'VE GOT LITTLE EJACTULATION AT TIMES.
Avatar m tn You could avoid supplements that contain B6 and limit your intake of foods rich in vitamin B6, such as fortified cereal, bananas, salmon, turkey, chicken, potatoes, spinach and hazelnuts.
Avatar f tn Hi. I have both the Gene & B6 Toxicity. How come when I search for B6 both forums/groups B6 Toxicity and MTHFR come up together? Are they associated?
Avatar f tn re in balance with B6, and too little of the former two can lead to too much B6. One way to leach excess B6 out of your body is to take more B12 and folic acid. But somewhere, since this is a water soluble vitamin, if you indeed have a chronic B6 overdose (and not just one that happened on a couple of occasions when you got tested), I'd ask your neurologist why the body isn't just flushing it out. That's probably your answer.
Avatar f tn I started taking a 100 mg vitamin b6 supplement daily while trying to conceive in addition to my prenatal which also contains 15 mg of b6. I read that b6 helps increase your cervical mucus. I got pregnant the cycle I started taking the vitamin b6 supplement. Can I continue taking 115 mg of b6 now that I am pregnant or do I need to taper off or stop taking it altogether? I'm concerned about possible effects a high dosage of b6 has on pregnancy and developing baby.
Avatar m tn My B6 test came back 240 which is very high. I am having all of the symptoms related to B6 toxicity. I do not take vitamin supplements and have a healthy diet. What can cause me to have such a high b6 level if I am not taking supplements? My doctor asked me to give him a month to figure it out but I am in pain and want some answers.
Avatar m tn I have been diagnosed with B6 toxicity. My doctor said that exercise would be good because it would speed metabolism. However, I'm concerned about doing what is best to heal my nerves. Since walking makes my feel hurt, throb, and twitch, I'm guessing that walking would actually hurt the healing process, not help. What has everyone else's experience been with healing from B6 toxicity and exercise? Do you think exercise helps or hinders the healing process?
