After earlier courses of Amoxicillin, then Zithromax, upon determining Pneumonia I have been prescribed Levaquin, a much stronger antibiotic; But the Levaquin costs $ 264, which I can not afford. Is there a comparable antibiotic I can take that is more reasonably priced?

s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.

Does anyone know if the generic Harvoni is available in India or Thailand yet as I was told that it would be made available in the last quarter of the year, Im no Einstein but this is the last quarter! Does have any info I can glean some hope from? So long story short, my father's job doesn't support our health insurance anymore. I currently have a job at a temp agency and they don't provide health insurance either. My prescription for the newest asthma inhaler from my doctor now costs me $184 for one dose. I've taken Foradil and Advair before and they both work, so I started looking up affordable brands online. A website says that they sell about a year's supply of generic Foradil prescription.

The generic brands that are readily available in india & vietnam are not as readily available in Nigeria where i live and if available at all, the price will be suffocate an average patient. Somebody mentioned that a weekly dose costs about N96000($600/week) and for a total course of 96 weeks, the cumulative cost will be unbearable for many Can i get it cheaper at your end.

the generic in india is absolutely the same as brands, it is just cheap and easy chemicals.....so easy to do.

I use the generic for everything, when available. There is no difference that I can see.

Yep: Mepron and Zithromax (or the generic form, whatever). No problems for me with it at all.

it is a wrong name for drugs just to make more money for the first drug maker who did the drug generic is the same drug made from another drug maker, this is why the name generic is very wrong, generic sounds like the drug is different but only drug maker is different.

This drug is still available as a generic, it looks like the price of the drug has increased due to higher cost for Walgreens to purchase it. I'm afraid the other drugs available for BPH will probably be as or more expensive than Doxazosin, but I would check with your local Walgreens pharmacist for more price options.

I need help please. My doctors had me on Levaquin for 4 years straight. I believe it's destroyed most of my immune system. Since being off Levaquin for the past few months, I have had chronic bronchitis and pneumonia since. My muscles and body is in agony. I now have to use oxygen all the time, day and night. The recovery times from surgeries are greatly extended now. I'm having another back surgery in a few weeks.

Hi everyone...has anyone ever been on Levaquin (it's in the same class of antibiotics as Cipro)? I was on it for 5 days of my 10 when I started getting some wrist pain and they took me off it. I didn't even know it causes tendon damage. Just wondering if anyone else had those side effects??? I think my mom was on it (IV) but didn't have any side effects. All I can say is if they want to put you on it, ask for something else unless there is no choice! Thanks!

I am a 37 mother with no prior history of sinus infection. I had what I thought was an evil flu or Lyme disease--body aches with an other-worldly headache that caused pain in my jaw. No fever or stuffy nose, but mucus dripping down the back of my throat. Whenever I bent over and my head was upside down I saw stars--my first clue that I had a sinus infection of some kind.

I have found the generic Lexapro to be very good, and have only heard the usual side effects that all AD's have. But you should mention this to your doctor and see what he says. This all could be from your withdrawal or a combination of both, but you need to let your doctor know what is going on, if just for your peace of mind. Good luck in getting off the Vicodin, I wish you all the best.

Prior to my DX I was kind of looking forward to this DMD. Now I am glad my doctor didn't put me on it after the DX.

Nygirl, When I was on treatment, I got sick and my neuts fell to zero, I was on IV levaquin for 15 days and went home with oral levaquin for a few more weeks. I have cirrhosis. My liver enzymes didn't even budge. I think you will be ok, too. While we have to be cautious and make sure our docs are doing the right thing, many of those warnings are weighed against the benefits of taking the drug.

This post is 3 years old, but the poster was taking the generic. The color will depend on the generic manufacturer your pharmacy has a deal with and the dosage. And most people report brand name drugs, while a lot more expensive, work better. They certainly have better quality control as they don't have to cut corners because of low profit margins.
