Avatar n tn hi, my question is can we mix albuterol, ipratropium, pulmacort together and the order is give these medication together by nebulizer.
Avatar f tn I purchased the Omron Portable Ultrasonic Nebulizer and am using the vials of Albuterol and Ipratropium. I can only use 1/2 vial because more than that speeds my heart up too much. Can I save the last 1/2 of the vial for later use? Does anybody know of a more affordable way to get the medicine I need? I am paying out of pocket and this economy gets harder every day it seems like.
5915610 tn?1376611217 I needed to know, will I need to see a doctor here and get a prescription to buy my inhaler or I can just go to a medicine shop and can buy it ? Please help ! And if possible also tell me any brand that is available in Italy with the composition same as that of Duolin of Cipla, that is: ======================================… Each actuation delivers Ipratropium Bromide IP equivalent to Ipratropium Bromide anhydrous ... 20 mcg, + Levosulbutamol Tartrate equivalent to Levosulbutamol ...
757137 tn?1347196453 Side effects are restlessness, irritability and nervousness. Ipratropium blocks the effect of acetylcholine on airways (bronchi) and nasal passages. This is used as an alternative to Albuterol if the side effects are severe with Albuterol. This could also be used in conjunction with Albuterol, to relieve acute flare ups of Asthma. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I would like to ask if the ipratropium inhaler is available with the combination of salbutamol and what brand?
Avatar n tn Sorry, I was called away. Both the ipratropium of Duoneb and Spiriva are forms of atropine and my doctor thinks that taking both is overkill. As to the tightness in your chest, because of the overuse of Duoneb your lungs are probably extremely dry and you may be forming thick sticky mucus. So you really should, not only cut down on the Duoneb, but also get yourself an expectorant. I use over-the-counter guaifenesin. I get plain quaifenesin, not Mucinex.
3086858 tn?1340852861 It is uncommon that an asthma problem start later in life (not in childhood) and is that sever that produce fatigue and shortness of breath. Talk to a cardiologist and complete your study.
Avatar f tn Medications such as asthalin, trebutaline, steroids, ipratropium bromide, and chromolyn sodium can be tried. Please consult a doctor immediately. Take care!
Avatar n tn Xopenx 1.25 mg and Ipratropium Bromide 0.02%.
Avatar f tn Yes, Atrovent is ipratropium bromide is used for COPD. I use Duoneb which is a combination of albuterol and ipratropium. You are making me wonder if I can manage with ipratropium alone. I have never tried it. I will ask my lung doctor. I use a portable nebulizer. With that I can take as little as I need (or as much).
1398693 tn?1343684738 Can tight muscles in the chest cause daily asthma symptoms? my chest gets heavy off and on throughout the day I take Combivent Respimat 20-100 MCG/ACT IN AERS, Levalbuterol HCL 1.25 MG/3ML IN NEBU 2X a day before Advair, Singular 10 MG PO TABS, Advair Diskus 500-50 MCG/Dose in AEPB 2X a day, Qvar 80 MCG/ACT IN AERS 2 puffs 2X a day for my severe asthma and I do get relief from the Combivent only to have the chest heaviness come back hours later.
Avatar f tn Hi, I did a search for interactions between Duolin (salbutamol/ipratropium bromide) and doxyfyline and didn't find anything, but a doctor would definitely be better equipped to answer your question. If your symptoms aren't getting any better, despite using the medication, you should definitely talk to your doctor.
212161 tn?1599427282 i have been like this now for 2 months it seems to get better than last night it was not bad but woke me up at 1 could not sleep for coughing and wheezing and scared i was going have a bad attack and die from it , so i need the inhaler just to scared to take it. so are these ok or will the xop cause the heart speed. thank you so much.
Avatar m tn amiodarone alternatives by butwhat, 48 minutes ago I was told bt a cardiologist that there is now a good alternative to amiodarone. I thought he was saying Amtak but apparently I was wrong. Any guesses as to what the medication is? I have my doubts that I should be on amiodarone with my lung issues. I have been getting kind of cloggy since I have been on it. Clearing my throat or feeling like I can't clear my throat. Will I receive email notification?
Avatar m tn Okay, this has been going on for years. When I wake up in the morning: 1) My nose is clogged, like it feels 100% full of dried phlegm. Nothing will come out when I blow my nose. 2) I can feel phlegm in my throat, it kind of gives me a strange sore throat feeling. This is the LEAST irritating symptom. I just cough it up. 3) the worst thing; my eyes. It's like they don't want to open? They're burning and watery. They feel puffy, like they're bulging out of their sockets.
Avatar n tn What exactly do you have? I have emphysema and coughing and phlegm is not an issue for me. Do you have bronkitis?
Avatar n tn I've recently had an asthma attack due to spring pollen and other related environmental condition that increase during this season. I take a Combivent inhaler as a rescue treatment for my asthma. The problem at this point is that is a provides short relief and has choked me to the point of passing out. Could you please tell me what is causing this reaction. What would be a better method and inhaler. This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn I have bad asthma , and I am 79 kg I want to reduce my weight but exercise and walking made my asthma worse , I don't want to start prednisone again because 10 day before I finish my pills of prednisone, and even simple exercise also exerts me , how to lose weight ?can someone help ? please..........
1398693 tn?1343684738 Back in February my a long time diagnosis of asthma became severe asthma and I was told at that time I had viral bronchitis since then I have a lot of problems breathing on a nearly daily basis with a day here and there with no symptoms at all, also there’s very little mucus I only cough anything up in the morning every now and then not very often and I don’t wheeze either.
Avatar m tn Do this anulom vilom (pranayam) morning and evening, and you will not need anything at night.Come back with your feedback so others can benefit. Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Avatar n tn The combination medications which include inhaled steroids and a long acting broncho dilater like Advair, Symbicort and Dulera are standard treatments for all forms of COPD. They are also used to treat asthma which cannot be controlled on inhaled steroids alone. Have a blessed New Year.
Avatar f tn Sinusitis, chronic bronchitis then COPD. All because doctors refused to treat the sinusitis. Because of this I can't afford the meds that are the staple of COPD treatment. But it did lead me into an alternative that works better and with less side effects. Benadryl works on the same principle as does ipratropium but I have never been told to use it. I can't tolerate Advair (causes angina) nor Albuterol (causes worse congestion and coughing).
Avatar n tn s back to being as is was prior to the treatment. I have tried Veramyst and Ipratropium Bromide nasal sprays along with nasal flushing, all they do is bring on an attack. The sprays trigger it almost immediately and the irritation continues for up to an hour or more. It doesn't matter where I am, so I know it's not environmental. I sneeze on the average of 30-40 times through out the day with congestion. This started about 1-1/2 months after I quit smoking a little over 3 years ago.
Avatar f tn About a year ago I developed what I thought was the flu. I went to the dr. Who gave me antibiotics. It went away for a few days but then came back. My symptoms were running nose, nasal drainage down my throat filling my lungs with gunk, and subsequent cough. After 3 more trips to my family Dr. and three more, and different antibiotics, I demanded something was wrong and I'm not taking any more antibiotics. I went to see an ENT and he said it was my deviated septum causing the problems.
Avatar n tn In addition, if the cough, even in part, is due to asthma, the Combivent® Inhalation Aerosol (ipratropium bromide and albuterol sulfate) is inadequate therapy for asthma. There are times when cough is the primary symptom or the only symptom of asthma so a trial of an inhaled steroid would be warranted. If vigorous therapy for asthma does not reduce your cough, especially when combined with nasal washes and the use of a nasal steroid inhaler, then you should see an ENT.
Avatar n tn I am now using my nebulizer twice a day with a mixture of Levalbuterol and Hypertonic saline 7%. Mucus now all white again. Hopefully I can keep my lungs flushed now and prevent more recurrences of pneumonia and pseudonymous. I have already had my heart checked because of shortness of breath just to be sure and my heart is good, no blockage, etc. I appreciate the responses.
Avatar f tn I got a lot of blood work done for my allergist and immunologist everything came back normal but my CU index (chronic urticaria) was slightly elevated suggesting it's autoimmune response. He tested for a large variety of autoimmune disorders. The doctor is treating my symptoms with Zantac, Zyrtec, and Singulair. I still wake up to hives every morning. And do not get any new ones during the day. I want to solve the problem at the source. Can anyone help me?
1507301 tn?1289936394 I use a nebulizer (albuterol and ipratropium), and take natural anti-inflammatories and an antihistamine for allergies. If you get a peak flow meter you will be able to assess your condition (not the infection, of course) and your progress, or lack thereof.
