It is horrible the side effects we suffer while trying to find the most tolerable meds to help us function. I wish there was a pill that had no side effects at all (besides placebos!) What medication did your doctor switch you to after stopping this one? You might try posting with the brand name Arava as you may get more responses that way.

Humira is a good medication to induce remission and symptom resolution, tough there are a few side effects associated. However all side effects may not necessarily develop in everybody. I would suggest discussing the pros and cons in detail with your treating rheumatologist. Let’s hope for a favourable recovery. Take care!

Hi there, I'm sorry you are so worried. However, I think you made a wise choice. There are many strong, and immune suppressing meds that are used for RA that are known to cause worsening of MS or even suspected of bringing MS on. Abatacept is NOT one of them. I thought it was, so I did some reading. The category of med that you would want to avoid is the one that is called the anti-TNF meds or anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor meds. Abatacept is not one of these.

hi is there anyone on the site been on trials for this new med as i have to start this med once i have saw my rematologist apparently its on trial at the moment or has been for a few years it should help with my arthritis as well as slowing down my ms,i started on leflunomide today 100mg for 3 days then 20mgs every day after until i see about going on this new med teriflunomide they are supposed to be similar i read a trial post on another forum and there seems to be good reports on it any info

0) I was wondering if anyone here has taken Arava (Leflunomide) and their side effects? I started it almost 3 weeks ago for the RA and Sjogrens and have started to have nausea, hair loss, skin sensitivity, burning or tingling of skin, and restless legs (already had, but much worse now), vivid dreams, and torso pain like a cramping sensation in back and sides. I have read too much bad stuff about this medicine and I am hoping someone has had a good experience with it.

He has been on a combination of Arava 20 mg ( Hydroxychloroquine) and Plaquenil (Leflunomide) . He has been going severly downhill since January and has lost 40 pounds, has constant mucous drainage that he chokes on especially after meals, and has severe shortness of breath. Can these symptoms be a result of the medications he is taking? Is it safe for him to take two synthetic DMARDS at the same time?

I will do that it seems the higher dose has created this and I'm not on anything else.

Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.

Does anyone know of any side effects from using the circulation booster. I have the opportunity to buy a second hand one, but my brother believes it can't be good for your muscles to zap them so to speak, like it will confuse your muscles.

Hi. I am on week 60/72, second round of treatment. I was really really sick after shot for first few months and then this resolved and became tolerable at least. I now find that I am having these same significant side effects later in tx. This didn't happen last round, but I went 48 then. Anyone else have this happen?

i had similar side effects when coming off the depo shot. I thought i was pregnant and took 3 tests. they went away but it took about 6mo. My docs checked my hormones and pituitary gland and they we all fine. It's probably not the effexor but ck w/ your doc anyway.

I just googled Avastin side effects are there are many sites that have lots of info on there. Also, you could google the manufacturer or ask your oncology center for some fact sheets.... Just a thought.

Cancer removed May 22, 2007, chemo July 2nd through October 8, 2007, and radiation on left breast November 2nd through December 26, 2008. Side effect from Taxol perminent numb toes, side effects so far from Tamoxifen body temperature changes of warmth then cold. The web page sites and telephone numbers did not have this information.

I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?

I am also a breast cancer survivor, however as I am triple negative, the hormonal drugs are not effective for me so unfortunately I cant speak from experience. However, that doesn't mean that I cant find out some interesting information for you in relation to libido and Arimidex.

He had a third seizure there and the vet diagnosed epilepsy. He is on phenobarbitol and had no side effects until last night when he vomited and started head twitching. He is drooling a lot and a bit wobbly. Is this typical? Will it stop ?

Has anybody gotten a stuffy head and "funny feeling" eyes as a side effect from SSRI's. I have had these side effects before but they went away after a month or so. I'm on Celexa and this stuffy feeling(like you are coming down with a cold) seems to be sticking with me. The med is working well except for this uncomfortable feeling in and around my eyes.

I've been dealing with gerd issues for the last half year. Colonoscopy and endoscopy were negative. As lagoya mentioned, you may or may not experience side effects. If so, they range from annoying side effects to serious side effects. If it's helpful, when I took flecainide, I had weird dreams, shakiness, tremors and gastointestinal problems. It wasn't horrible, but it was bothersome enough that the doctor switched me to rhythmol.
