leflunomide and bk virus

Has anyone else taken this drug for arthritis? I started it several months ago and and seem to be getting a large amount of side affects.I have had upset stomachs with lots of reflux.When I exhale the air from my stomach it tastes horrible...like a decaying tooth.There is a horrible metallic smell consistantly with my stools.I have lost weight.I have constant tingling all over my body.I have had many headaches and low grade fevers.

hi is there anyone on the site been on trials for this new med as i have to start this med once i have saw my rematologist apparently its on trial at the moment or has been for a few years it should help with my arthritis as well as slowing down my ms,i started on leflunomide today 100mg for 3 days then 20mgs every day after until i see about going on this new med teriflunomide they are supposed to be similar i read a trial post on another forum and there seems to be good reports on it any info

Hi Rachy, I'm sorry to hear that you aren't doing well. It's hard to know what might be going on without more info. Did they give you a dx of MS last summer, or was it just suspected? I'm with Deb, was your MRI of the brain and full spine, was it done with and without contrast, and done under MS Protocol. And was it a 1T or 3T strength machine. I know that's lots of questions, but it helps us to know more about your situation.

He has been on a combination of Arava 20 mg ( Hydroxychloroquine) and Plaquenil (Leflunomide) . He has been going severly downhill since January and has lost 40 pounds, has constant mucous drainage that he chokes on especially after meals, and has severe shortness of breath. Can these symptoms be a result of the medications he is taking? Is it safe for him to take two synthetic DMARDS at the same time?

Hi ladies finally bk off my holiday n glad to b home now it was very eventfull lets say and i had tons of pain n braxton hicks and also thought id lost my mucus plug but i wasnt sure as it was jst a round blob which was thick n white in a circular shjape with no blood!

t finding any relief, there was times on the medication i felt my outbrakes were worse than better, i was tested for every other std/sti and was also checked for bacterial and yeast infections everything else is clear, i went back to the doctor on Tuesday with what felt like a bigish outbreak in the front region to be told i had one red lump under the skin { which she tought could be another blister under the skin} and what seemed to be the end of a blister also very red near this area i couldnt

Im around 11w and i have sickness and diahorrea virus and anything i eat or drink comes bk out either being sick or diahorrea. So i was wondering whats best to consume? My mum said to starve the bug but i dont feel thats safe for baby and obviously the more hungry i get the more sick i am. Really dont know what to do! I really need advice!

Dear Doctors, Assalam o Alaikum, My wife 45 is suffering from arthritis since last 5 years. She takes Lefora and folic acid regularly. She is stable but has developed some problem in her stomach by using lefora. Can she use some substitute or continue with Lefora.

Ice chips will work as well. A friend of mine has lived on those during her pregnancies and swears by it when you're sick. Wait a few hours and try taking a few small sips of water and see if it stays down and just keep that pattern up. If you vomit, wait a few hours and try again. If it is a virus it's for the most part short lived.

I was put on venlafaxine 8mths Bk due to another break down after 4weeks I started feeling much better in myself only problem I have now is the increased weight gain which is starting to make me feel depressed again I was thinking of halting my dose but worry about side affects and my awefull feelings coming Bk again.. can anyone else relate to my problem ?

We have never spoken, but i have seen you post on here throughout the year i have been on MH and you have not been able to stay clean. I believe smack is probably the toughest drug to quit and in order to do so and STAY clean you NEED help. Doing your best would be going to meetings, rehab or sticking to support like glue. Your right, there is hope as long as you don't give up, but getting clean takes WORK and SERIOUS commitment. What are you doing for your recovery?

I dont think so its something u gotta figure out for urself and baby all couples fight and who ever says other wise is lying my husband and I have been to hell and bk but I love that man with all I got u dont ever wanna look bk on life and wonder what coulda been and if it doesnt work out u know u tried and u could always move bk in with ur parents :) goodluck

Tried everyhing recommended by the medical professional but to no avail, no pain relief! Have had 3 bk surgeries and still suffer with the low bk pain 24/7, most an 8-9. When i do anything which aggravates it, it zooms past 10 to a 20 or so. Can't function. 1st surgery in 04. I'm tired of always being, feeling tired! Tired of the cloud over my head. Tired of the fogginess in my mind! DONT WANT TO LOSE MY GOOD MIND!!!!!!

hi I went to put dinner on earlier and when I walked bk into the living room my 2yr old was sat on our 5mnt old kitten, I ran an grabed her off the kitten but damage was already done.

Please google new HIV virus in China. All I get is that its just anormal virus and that you body will fight it off..
