Hi everyone. I have been suffering from GERD for years. I recently got a teaching job, and from day one of talking I've felt extreme throat pain. My ENT confirmed I have Reflux Laryngitis, and ramped up my meds. I was taking Nexium, and keeping weight under control. Now she added Zantac and some allergy meds for my post nasal drip. Has anyone had a job that they talk all day, and due to the GERD had severe throat pain and/or Laryngitis? How long did it last?
I would also like to hear about what homeopathic remedies have been tried. I took silica on the recommendation of the naturopath - it hasn't seemed to help after a week, but I will give it more time before I stop.
There are people on this site that are far more knowledgeable than me regarding natural remedies and how they work specifically for either anxiety or depression or a combination but I can give you some ideas:

I have had a chest, sinus cold going on four weeks now with intermittent laryngitis. I have been on a course of Levaquin 2 weeks ago and am still sick. Prior to this cold I had another cold and was on a Z pac, can't seem to get any better... Never had a fever, just productive cough raising green phlegm.. Should I be working about my immune system at this point?
My fiance has it really bad at night,he works over 50 hrs a week so do you guys know of any herbal remedies that will help?...Poor guy is so tired at work! Any info is greatly appreciated!
Their are a lot of things that kill fungus. The same medication woman use for yeast infection. The fungal creams used for athletes feet. Or some home remedies like apple cider vinegar.
Many woman get this under their breasts but it wouldn't be on the small of your back. Fungus needs a warm moist environment.
One possibility is just dry skin. Winter itch. Just try cuting down on hot showers and use a good moisturizer.
Please let me know, my son has been doing research on natural remedies because he just thinks chemo kills too many other cells.

For the past i would say four days ive had this sinus pressure and pain mostly on bridge of nose,around eyes and cheek bones and i put some light up my left nostril and noticed towards more the back in my nose along the side wall, is all red and swollen, but yet when i touch it doesnt feel like any mass or anything,weird i think!. anyways i am a big believer of natural cures and home remedies so i have taken some decongestion meds and have washed my nose out with a neti pot.
Okay, since 1992 I have had lots of throat infections in 1995 I had my tonsils and adanoids removed to help however it never did. And still had aleast 7 throat infections and laryngitis a year but since January this year I have had 20suvere throat infections all with laryngitis.
However, a side effect of both medications is laryngitis. I recently had laryngitis for 6 weeks. It started as a virus and would not go a way. I decided it was my atrovent neb (an anticholinergic like Spiriva). My allergist thought it was my Dulera (inhaled combination med like Advair). I eliminated the atrovent and reduced my Dulera and the laryngitis healed.
She needs to discus any changes in dosage with her doctor before making changes.
So, I'm in my first trimester and pregnancy is already making me experience the wonderful world of yeast infections. I went to the doctor to make sure it is indeed a yeast infection and it is. He didn't prescribe me anything because he said it's too early and to wait until the second trimester, but I've heard of natural remedies, such as the garlic clove in the vagina that cures yeast infections. This is a homeopathic formula containing several commonly used homeopathic remedies. It is used for back pain caused by bad discs and such. This is not typically how homeopathy is used to cure, rather this is a symptomatic relief. Cures would usually be one constitutional remedy, applied through trial and error, in much higher dilutions than the ones used in formulas. Yesterday only I was studying an article about the future cures. That was quite hopefull. Many of the good drugs are in phase 2 that is a very good sign. Now question is a little same that how long it may take a drug to go to phase 3 from phase 2. I guess 2025 would b an appropriate answer.
And I got off all meds 1 year ago cause they would only worsen my symptoms. I beleive in natural cures now and organic remedies like aloe vera and fenugrek, probiotics. But even though Im on all those I find it hard gaining weight. I eat all kinds of food i dont strict my diet the way I should cause I want to gain weight, I loose control and of course I start getting sick.
