was on klonpin 11 yrs prior to xanax.. but just methadone and xanax since 04...i know about the mix or my combo vey well on very low doses of each..the xanax 0.5 5aday..methadone 10 mgs aday..was at 1 time 160 mgs i detoxed at home 2 yrs ago..got away from it 45 days then back at the dose im at..now the questshion??
my shrink has added lamictail to my combo,,i asked him if it would had any further respatory depression..he just kinda nodded his head..wating oin his nest 8 min patient..
the methadone and xanax been on both of for 5 yrs the same time was put on the methadone with know problems..i take 40 mgs of methadone and avg 3 mgs of xanax aday..this controls the anxietys and panic is the worst..have had it since 1989..i dont get it much.. but when im maina nothing stops that including the xanax....
what im asking whats the lamictal going to do adding another depressant to the 2 im on......the lithem never bothered me t all with these 2 meds......
ive got this fear of the meds im on..im on methadone and xanax..both very low dose been on this combo 6 yrs now no problems.. i had the panic 1st in 1993..then got sevre hurt on the job in 2004..was put on oxy,s then i had to be taking off it and put on methadone...
now the pdoc put me on lamictail with thisa combo...i asked him, about it..
I have been on lamictal 100mg to 150mg, and I haven't noticed any facial hair growth, although I think my hair is thinning out. When I take a shower and put cream rinse in and work it thru, I have lots of hair coming out.
It should work once it reaches an appropriate dose. Occassionally at higher dosages Lamictal can sometimes worsen mania but it takes time and a psychiatrist has to see how they are responding in general. Keep a mood tracker here and print out the results for your psychiatrist and ask them to follow up.
I was diagnosed Bipolar II with minor depression and was put on Lamictal teetering up 25 mg every 2 weeks with 150mg Wellbutrin (Zyban) the aim was to reach 200mg and see how I feel, by the start of the seventh week, I got tiny itchy patches on my cheeks that flaired up after I took the Lamictal… so stopped lamictal, (remained on the wellbutrin) and went on an antihistamine (Atarax) for a 2 weeks 25/50mg, did some surface (72 hour skin contact) allergy tests and came negative for Lamictal so I w
I was taking Bupropion and Lamictal, and switched to Effexor. I have been on Effxor for three weeks. I have had the worst fatigue I have ever felt. So now I am unsure if it was coming off the Lamictal or if it was the Effexor. I am going to stop the Effexor, but I don't know if I should go back on just the Lamictal, The lamictal When I first started taking it, up to 200 mg worked fairly well.
I guess my question is, is , has this kind of fatigue been know to be a side effect with Effexor?
Thought I had herniated disk again. Finally found hydromyelia in middle of back. Only think that helps is ibprofin and ice and my methadone. They have checked me for MS and ALS. I just had another MRI with contrast. Could this be from my lumbar surgery? I have DDD which I know common with back issues. I also know that my breathing issues are Probaby from smoking. At what point do they take this more seriously.
I have seen a ENT doc and my hearing is perfect, nothing else is wrong, only the Lamictal that I am on. My doc one day said oh the ringing could be because of the lamictal which made me start obsessing over it, did not help, and now I have started weening myself off the lamictal but it is not an easy road. I was on 100mg then went down to 50mg for a week now I am down to 25 mg and valuim to take edge off, I hate the way I am feeling and the panic attacks or anxiety are hard.
Ive been on lamictal for around 5 months. added to depakote and has changed my life (diagnosis bipolar). i can actually get off the couch.
I have been trying to lose weigth for a while with no avail. Started lamictal: nausea and some light cramping. although hungry, sometimes I can't eat. Am down from 118# to 112# and continue to fall without effort. even eating chocolate.

I wish your daughter well, I too am on Keppra 375mg twice daily and have started lamictal 50mg per day. I am also very irritable and tired. My doc wants to wean me off Keppra and slowly increase my lamictal. Luckily I have not had a reaction this far with it but its only been two weeks. He wants to switch due to the irritability from Keppra. I was taking Wellbutrin for depression but am not any longer, did feel I need it haha.
s what you were speaking about. I was prescribed Neurontin at the same time as Lamictal and I believe I was told by my psychopharmocologist that one enhances the effect of the other. Obviously that would be something to speak to your psychiatrist about but they would be the ones to prescribe it regardless.
Did anyone took Lamictal for anxiety and depression? Did it work,and how soon did it started working? Did anyone started feeling normal and had their old life back? Did anyone felt the itching, and how long it lasted? I am very worried, i need this med to be working for me soon because i going through very tough time in my relationship. I've been taking lamictal for years and I suddenly got really bad migraines so I went down 25mg. my psychiatrist and physician is suggesting I take depakote with it. this is all new to me and decreasing lamictal has made me a lot more anxious.... if anyone has had any experience with the two together I would greatly appreciate any thoughts ideas or opinions.
I am on Trileptal, Lamictal, and Luvox. The only reason why I am really confused is because we haven't made any medication changes for quite a while now. I was very stable for a while, and still am emotionally, but these nightmares and sweats are getting a bit concerning. I just don't like not knowing what is going on with my body. Can your medication start giving you side effects even after being on them for a long time.
