Avatar f tn We have a case of infertility concerning my sister's husband, and just wondering if there is any treatment for the case and looking for any advise us on what to do or if there is any hope. The male affected is my sister's husband and they reside in Jerusalem/Palestine, the diagnosis is as follows: Maturation arrest of SPERMATOGENSIS up to the stage of SPERMATIDS. (Very rare SPERMATIDS). That was the microscopic examination result for both right and left testicles.
486867 tn?1307139011 Do you know what type of male infertility your DH has? I am really, really... hoping the surgery and Clomid work!
486867 tn?1307139011 Hi everyone :) ...DH and I are doing our first IUI in about 2 weeks. I should be starting AF tomorrow. I'm really nervous. I keep trying to convince myself to wait one more month to do our IUI. I make up excuses. I'm really looking for success stories. I need some extra support. I keep trying to tell myself if I think positive, positive things will happen.
Avatar m tn Hello. I am a 24 year old male. My wife and I conceived and recently lost the baby at 10 weeks. Doctors advised she had a blighted ovum. I am concerned about my fertility as a male. If I had fertility issues, would she have gotten pregnant in the first place? Does a blighted ovum mean that I could have underlying fertility issues? If I could get answers, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much! Also, side not.
Avatar n tn selenium, amino acids like l-carnitine, and antioxidants like Vitamin C and Vitamin E are important for sperm health. L-carnitine is particularly important for sperm motility. You may discuss with your doctor about any fertility enhancers for your husband. Keep me posted. Best luck and regards!
Avatar n tn t ejaculate any sperm in their semen for them to actually go into the testicle and remove some of the testicular tissue, then they look underneath the microscope and find sperm, and do ICSI with IVF for the female.. not sure if this is the same situation or not, but i do know they have good success rates with the above procedure! GOOD LUCK!
Avatar n tn My husband and I are trying to have a baby and we found out two years ago my husband has a fertility issue..He has gone through so many sperm analysis, which shows that he has a very low sperm count, very low motility, verly low viability and extremely low (0% normal) morphology.. He has also gone through the Varicose vein repair last year October 2007 but it seems that the surgery will not help.. Will we be able to have a child naturally?
Avatar f tn I have been on lamictal 100mg to 150mg, and I haven't noticed any facial hair growth, although I think my hair is thinning out. When I take a shower and put cream rinse in and work it thru, I have lots of hair coming out.
Avatar m tn I am a male with GHSV-1...i read the other day that GH can crush a man's sperm count and lead to infertility...is there truth to this? Thanks for your time.
Avatar f tn My DH also has male factor issues with a very low morphology (1%), borderline motility and a count that seems to fluctuate from good to poor. I have him taking a ton of vitamins, minerals and herbs, including B, C, D, E, folic acid, l-carnitine, l-glutamine, zinc, selenium, coenzyme Q10, lycopene, a multi-vitamin and maritime pine bark (an antioxidant).
1358758 tn?1390767067 Anyone ttc despite male factor infertility? It seems that this is a less common issue discussed on forums. Maybe I'm missing these posts. My DH has poor sperm morphology (1%) and I have yet to chat with anyone dealing with a similar issue. I'm having questions about doing IVF (with ICSI) in this case and would like to share information/thoughts with someone who is considering or already completed IVF using ICSI, particularly if morphology was the problem. Anyone relate???
Avatar m tn Tobacco, drugs, alcohol - all three are common, and they do not help male fertility. Severe weight gain/obesity. Tight underclothing or pants - especially while jogging or biking. Mostly anything that would contribute to poor health. Secondly, don't think you can correct these things today and you'll be fertile tomorrow - sometimes the body needs time to get itself back into balance.
Avatar f tn Congratulations on trying to conceive! I was being treated with Metformin for my diabetes risk and irregular cycles. For women, Metformin can also make them super fertile (odd side effect) while regulating blood sugars. I'm not familiar with men and fertility issues, so I did a quick search and found this: Male Infertility & Diabetes DCS: What about diabetes and infertility as it is related to males? Does it cause fertility issues in men, too? Dr. Falcone: Yes.
Avatar n tn I´ve done my own basic research and as far as I can see, Chlamydia and Gonohrrea are the only two that do, although they are both more of an issue for women. I am wondering if these are the only two that affect male fertility, or if there are any others that I´m not aware of? Q2/ I hate to labour a redundant question, so I apologise for doing so...
Avatar f tn Infertility can be caused by so many factors (including both male and female), and HCV is not one of them. My advice would be to seek treatment for your HCV infection first, then try to figure out causes of your infertility and seek assistance if needed. Did you know that medical procedures like abortions often could cause female infertility too? However, only infertility specialist would be able to find real causes of your infertility problems. Hepatitis C would not be a major player here.
Avatar f tn I'm a 32 year old male and I've been suffering from grand mal and partial complex seizures for almost 20 years. I take Keppra and Lamictal, and thought I don't have any problems getting and keeping an erection, I find it almost impossible to ejaculate when I'm with my partner. Even when I masturbate, it takes a lot of time and concentration to achieve orgasm.
Avatar f tn hello I had a chlamydia infection for 8 to 12 months about 3 years ago. I had the normal symptoms and just didnt get treated as quickly as I should. I've heard recently that this can result in male sterility. could you explain any tell tale signs of this outcome? everything seems to be working just fine but this has left me a little unsure. walgreens has a male fertility checker that measures sperm count would this be good enough to feel that I'm fertile still?thank you.
Avatar f tn My DH just had an SA this month as a sort of start to our formal infertility dealings, and his appt was at 8am and we were able to call that afternoon and get almost all the results. There was one test, for morphaligy (sp?) that took a week to get. I don't know if most labs are that quick, but I hope yours is, it's really nice to get the info.
1418727 tn?1282487078 ve read in this website, and others, that that can cause infertility, or implantation failure. I am scared since I just want to be able to carry my own baby and it seem at this point that it might be impossible. Please, please I ask that you give me all the feedback possible becasue right now the research I've done tells me that I might never be able to have kids. thank you in advance.
Avatar m tn I take lamictal for a mood disorder. Is this med toxic to the kidneys? I'm at stage 3 and my gfr is 39.
Avatar n tn Hi there My husband and i have been trying for 13 years and finally was able to see a fertility clinic to check both of us out. Generally they will check the Male sperm and for the women to see if ovaries etc are okay, but don't give up we have just started our 1st IVF treatment and will find out tomorrow if im Pregnant. The doctors found that my husband had a low sperm count but western medicines today work miracles.
Avatar f tn I started Lamictal very slowly, 25mg each week and I am now at 200mg. Last week the memory loss started. Yesterday confusion started along with memory loss. It's pretty bad. I'll tell or share something to diff family members and then they will tell me I already told them. I have no recollection. I can't seem to comprehend things. I will be told something and it just doesn't register, can't understand what they are saying, even after explaing it a few times.
Avatar f tn Of these couples, approximately 30% have a pure male factor as the underlying cause, and another 20% have a combined male and female factor. Although precise figures are difficult to obtain, less than 5-10% of these infertile men have SCO syndrome. Mortality/Morbidity SCO syndrome presents during the evaluation of azoospermia in couples having difficulty in initiating a pregnancy. These men typically present with infertility as the only symptom.
Avatar f tn Hello me and my boyfriend have been trying to conceive and nothing has happened ? Im wondering and starting to become worried if I can have children !
