lamictal and clonazepam

I have been on a slew of psychiatric meds since last March including Ambien, Ambien CR, Effexor, Lexapro, Trazodone and now Zoloft and Clonazepam. Most SSRIs cause me to have insomnia which is why my psych prescribed Trazodone. However, I had a very bad experience two weeks ago where I even had to call 911 because I felt like I was having a heart attack. I know what a panic attack is and this was not anything like I had experienced before.

I am on long-term treatment with Effexor XR and Lamictal. I will be seeing a psychiatrist in the next month or so, hopefully, so i'm looking forward to talking to someone about my symptoms and how to handle them.

I just started it. 150mg at bedtime. Right now I'm at a healthy weight of 120 and am 5'4. I also take 300mg of lamictal and 2mg of clonazepam as needed. Did serequel make you gain? I'd rather not gain weight.

s the most effective treatment for manic depression. Would you recommend having this discussion? Currently I am on 300 mg Lamictal, 0.5/1mg Clonazepam, and 50mg Seroquel (as needed). I am going to see my psychiatrist this coming week and most likely my dose for Lamictal is going to go up again. I have a family history of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, migraines, Parkinson and Alzheimer. also, my dad suffers from bipolar/depression himself.

I've been on Lamictal since October, and it's been a godsend to me. It is slow to titrate up to therapuedic levels - but it's done a world of good. I'm about 85-90% depression free all the time. The difference now is, I get down if something external happens, like regular folks do, everyone gets blue at times.

I also have biplar disorder add ptsd I am on Lamictal and seroquel.the new dr.has rapidly detoxed me from clonazepam and Im going through the hell all over again!! Everybody on the forum has bad things to say...I also go to counsaeling and have worked on coping skills and agroup for self esteem and another called seeking safety to learn boanderies and safe behavior. so I am doing many things to help and I dont know what else to do...

org/ I consulted the studies on the site, along with speaking with my psychiatrist about taking the medication I am on, Lamictal, while pregnant. (I am bipolar and the risk of relapse while pregnant and not taking meds is very, very high, which can be dangerous to the fetus, so I chose to stay on the med, take extra folic acid, and pray for the best.) Definitely talk to both the ob/gyn and prescribing psychiatrist to determine if benefits of med outweigh risks.

I use to take lexapro and clonazepam for the last 6 years. Pdoc said I should've never been on the lexapro because it was making me rapid cyscle, Now I take 25 mg of Lamictal (can't go up because pdoc is saying that it's making me manic), 50 mg of Seroquel, 900mg of Lithium and 1 mg of clonazapam. I actually use to have to take 3 mg of clonaz but I think the seroquel is making me not need it as much.

The found that there was too much of the drug in her system even though she was only taking the prescribed dosage. As far as the Lamictal goes, it and other anti-convulsants can cause a lot of side effects including the headache, dizziness, loss of balance and confusion. Talk to the doctor right away about lowering the dosage of Lamictal or taking her off of it. For me, all the anticonvulsants I took just made things worse. I felt drugged all the time and would still have some seizures.

so where u on 4mg a day of ativan and now u swtiched to clonazepam? if so i think the taper/addition of klonopin/lclonazepam has to be done miticulously. ask RCA/Ryan about this. he as schedules for things like this and for tapering successfully. i know valium is used alot to get people off of clonazepam along with a taper schedule. i'm pretty sure the klonopin isn't causing the shakiness and sweating. it's either withdrawls from the ativan or your underlying anxiety returning.

I take Effexor with Clonazepam. I take 1 mg of clonazepam in the morning together with Effexor and my anxiety is stable all day long. I even went through a separation which would not be possible if i stayed on my previous meds such as celexa and paxil. You can take Clonazepam before zoloft why not? But if zoloft doesn't work ask your doctor about effexor. Just be carefull because effexor shouldn't be mixed with other antidepressants. Do it only under your doctors supervision.

I am desperated with this condition. I am on Lamictal, Effexor, Clonazepam and Amitriptiline. Sometimes I think nobody and nothing can change this, so sometimes I want to stop this condition in the only way I know it would stop. I had a Deppression diagnosis for 13 years and a new pdoc now thinks I've got a bipolar condition, so added Lamictal to my med list. I too am bipolar and on seroquel. Seroquel is an anti-psychotic. Please don't let that word "psychotic" make you upset all though I admit it does kind of stink. I also take Lamtrogine or Lamictal. I've been on tegretal and it worked for a long time for me. There are so many out there. I personally take Lamicatl Welbutrin Trazodone Seroquel These are my bipolar meds all though I do have physical health problems that I also take meds for.

I've done okay with lamictal, but lamictal and celexa, not so good. And now lamictal with wellbutrin, not so good. At least I think it's not the lamictal. I know my PsychNP put a big no in her notes regarding me and celexa.

has anyone had stomach problems with lithium and lamictal while takimg them at the same time?.....

I have been on lamictal 100mg to 150mg, and I haven't noticed any facial hair growth, although I think my hair is thinning out. When I take a shower and put cream rinse in and work it thru, I have lots of hair coming out.

0 (blue) Now Im seeing a top notch highly reccomended psych he has doubled deserol I take two 100 mg at bed time , increased Lamictal from 100 mg 2x day to 150 mg 2x day..increased wellbutrin from 100 mg to 200 mg..and he wants me to eventually come off xanax as they are "addictive" I get it they are addictive..yet they help me sooooo very much. I have panic attacks a lot w xanax its less. I am trying to do what dr says and take xanax only prn not 4x per day.

It should work once it reaches an appropriate dose. Occassionally at higher dosages Lamictal can sometimes worsen mania but it takes time and a psychiatrist has to see how they are responding in general. Keep a mood tracker here and print out the results for your psychiatrist and ask them to follow up.

Clonazepam and Cymbalta are safe together and are often prescribed together. But if you're getting weird symptoms from the clonazepam, you should contact your doctor about this and ask him how to taper off. You need to take something for the panic attacks, so going back to your doctor is advisable to determine if maybe the Cymbalta alone is the way to go.

I was taking Bupropion and Lamictal, and switched to Effexor. I have been on Effxor for three weeks. I have had the worst fatigue I have ever felt. So now I am unsure if it was coming off the Lamictal or if it was the Effexor. I am going to stop the Effexor, but I don't know if I should go back on just the Lamictal, The lamictal When I first started taking it, up to 200 mg worked fairly well. I guess my question is, is , has this kind of fatigue been know to be a side effect with Effexor?

My new doctor took me off Clonazepam and put me on 1 mg Ativan 3 times a day. I think the change was too drastic. I am having withdrawals and am very scared.

I have seen a ENT doc and my hearing is perfect, nothing else is wrong, only the Lamictal that I am on. My doc one day said oh the ringing could be because of the lamictal which made me start obsessing over it, did not help, and now I have started weening myself off the lamictal but it is not an easy road. I was on 100mg then went down to 50mg for a week now I am down to 25 mg and valuim to take edge off, I hate the way I am feeling and the panic attacks or anxiety are hard.

I would talk with the doctor prescribing the Clonazepam before adding anything like this. If you're wanting to add more I assume it's because the Clonazepam isn't working, and if this is the case, you need to let your doctor know this. Don't mix anything like this, you have no way of knowing what will happen.

I struggled with repetative harmful thoughts although I do not use marijuana. I am on lamictal also, and my doctor added Abilify when I started having this problem. It helped me out a lot. I hope he feels better soon! I know how hard it is to deal with such negative thoughts.
