I have called her pediatrician and scheduled an appointment to evaluate her, but thought I would ask here as well, because it'll be two weeks before they can see her. Thoughts, insights? Anything specific ringing a belly that I should look deeper into? Is there a connection to children's emotions and lyme, or is this two separate issues?

I'm not real impressed with your Endo Specialty Center; they left a few stones unturned. That said, you're on quite a cocktail of medications, and some of those (hydrocodone, in particular) can cause extreme fatigue/exhaustion, plus they have other side effects.

Avatar f tn For almost 2 years, I have been, and continue to be, treated for Fibro, Osteoarthritis, Senile Osteoporosis (daily injection of Forteo), high blood pressure and low/none vitamin D, and periods of low white cells. Was checked for the usual, RA, Lupus etc. Nothing showed up. Previous health-worked fulltime around 50 hours a week or more, constantly going and doing, did many family dinners, active runner, won divisional 5k first place and masters and weight trained. BMI is around 20.

Avatar n tn May I suggest you do some research on the Ketogenic Diet. It is a huge lifestyle change, but is totally worth it. Ketogenic lifestyle requires that you cut out almost all carbs. You eat less than 20g of carbs a day, moderate amount of protein 50-100g/day (60-75 is ideal for most people), and 100-150g fat/day. It is a high fat diet that switches your body from using carbs for energy to using fat for energy.

5143317 tn?1383747820 I now take progesterone caps at night (which helps me sleep) and cream during the day. My vitamin D and C levels were bottomed out and cortisol was screaming high. Just my experience only and something to maybe help you. Women to women website is a great help.
Avatar m tn If his Calcium level was good do not take calcium supplements. Taking Vitamin D will utilize what calcium he has and is getting from his diet in a more efficient way. Plenty of water is needed in order to flush excess calcium from the body. too much calcium can be deposited into arteries which is bad.

"Side effects" of vitamin D supplemenation are almost always due to magnesium deficiency as vitamin D uses magnesium to convert to active vitamin D in the blood. So keep your magnesium levels up. Check your labs every three months to see how you are going. The vitamin D council recommend between 50 - 80ng/mL (125 - 200nmol/L) year round.

My question is, how long will it take for my Vitamin D to return to normal with Megadoses of D3/Calcium and Testerone Treatments? Months? Years? Avatar n tn Given your current situation and your extremely high blood sugars, if you want to reduce then using diet, then a very low carb diet / ketogenic diet would be the way to go. This diet however, may still not be enough to get your sugars down and you may still need insulin / other meds. Please know that if you eat a ketogenic diet you need to follow it strictly.
