Avatar f tn She is on a ketogenic diet to help with the Lyme, so she gets low carbs, no sugar or processed foods, no dyed foods, no grains. I have called her pediatrician and scheduled an appointment to evaluate her, but thought I would ask here as well, because it'll be two weeks before they can see her. Thoughts, insights? Avatar n tn May I suggest you do some research on the Ketogenic Diet. It is a huge lifestyle change, but is totally worth it. Ketogenic lifestyle requires that you cut out almost all carbs. You eat less than 20g of carbs a day, moderate amount of protein 50-100g/day (60-75 is ideal for most people), and 100-150g fat/day. It is a high fat diet that switches your body from using carbs for energy to using fat for energy.
Avatar m tn Also, if you want to try to lose weight, I would suggest looking into lower carb / ketogenic diet (cutting all added sugars / processed foods, and restricting carbs).
