kapidex

Avatar f tn Here is a list of side effects from the medication your doctor prescribed. Gastrointestinal side effects have included diarrhea (4.7% to 5.1%), abdominal pain (3.5% to 4%), nausea (2.8% to 3.3%), vomiting (1.4% to 2.2%), and flatulence (1.4% to 2.6%).
Avatar n tn would Nexium pose the same problems for her?
Avatar m tn Also, I recently heard about Kapidex. Is this significantly better than the others out there (including the Nexium I am on) or should I stick with the Nexium?
Avatar m tn Hi and welcome to the GERD forum. I am not positive, but I think that mild refers to damage that could occur from having it......so u have mild GERD....but bcuz it has just been addressed u will feel the effects constantly until u get it under control....also being mild is a good thing...it should be easier to calm down with meds and hopefully heal ne damage. What meds were u rx'd? Did ur dr also tell u of foods to avoid and lifestyle changes that will aid the meds to calm ur GERD?
677061 tn?1226275988 When it comes to side effects which is more benign as far as cardiac function concerns?
1201433 tn?1328997637 This is not a side effect of Levothyroxine. What could be happening is the medication for thyroid may not be balancing the thyroid out correctly and throwing off other hormones causing this issue. My thought would be to ask for a full round of tests. Thyroid FT3 and FT4, FSH/LH - DHEA, A1C and your metobolic panel labs.
Avatar f tn This treatment has a high risk of psychiatric side effects, you need to find a doctor who is up to date on the treatment and side effects. Search the archives on this forum, its got lots of good discussions and information. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I have been on that but it didn't work that great after a while. Kapidex or previcid works. Liquid carafete helps to.

1414174 tn?1304680526 I started noticeing side effects at about 8pm, and they continued till this morning. I experienced a low grade headache, aches in my upper legs and lower back, some difficulty sleeping, and an awkward kind of dizziness (which I notice now seems to immediately follow my Riba dose). I am a Genotype 1b, with what I was told a 6log Viral load?? I have clean and sober for over 6 years, and am pretty sure I contracted the virus about 7-8 years ago..
Avatar m tn I am 51 and have been having intermittent squeezing chest pain on the right side of my chest. it feels like a squeeze and a twist. i have no discomfort on exercise. i do have a history of acid reflux and have had to quit coffee lately because it gives me central chest discomfort. my current pain today is almost constant. i do also have several trigger points on the right side of my chest. i have also recently started doing bench presses in the gym.
1882137 tn?1322257539 I just attended a course on the triple treatment that includes Victrelis. The PA who ran the course said that I wasn't likely to develope any new side affect with Victrelis but that it is likely to intensify the side effects I am having with just the Interferon & Ribavirin. Do you all fing this to be mostly accurate?
Avatar f tn Wow, that's quite a lot of PACs! I can't even imagine how you feel. On a bad day I get about 100 PACs and I feel like going crazy. I can't argue with your cardiologist, but I've never heard of someone getting PACs treated with flecainide. It can cause side effects, and if it doesn't work anyway, you should probably consult with him and ask if you can stop using this (NB! only change drugs after consulting your doctor!
1286779 tn?1400012806 She went to a doctor yesterday about her hair and the doctor told her that it was because of this medication (Lydrica) But I have seen all side effects and none talk about hair lost. And my mother does not want to leave this medication because its the only one that works for her burning feet. Has anybody else expirence hair loss with Lydrica? She also takes Cymbalta 60mg,lyrica 75mg, Nexuim 40mg, and Tramabol 50mg. What do you all suggest she get tested for ?
1806721 tn?1554333407 Hi...both meds are PPI's and work the same...getting off either needs to be done with the help of ur Dr, u need to step off slowly ot avoid the rebound effect of this med. PPI's stop production of the acids, when u stop taking the meds, it flips the on switch and many times our system makes too much all at once and we feel the same as we did b4....this is y it is very important to slowly step off these meds and know u may have some GERD until ur body adjusts.
Avatar f tn ve never tried Domperidone, but the only meds that helped me were Nexium or Kapidex taken twice daily. I tried prevacid and it was very brief because it just didn't work for me :( Also, I use to take one Kapidex/Nexium PLUS some Amitriplyn, but I knocked the amitriplyn out of my regimen. Either way, it offered more good days then bad.
Avatar m tn And, not only am I learning on this forum all about the treatment side effects, I am also learning about the post treatment, long term side effects. Frankly, that bothers me much more. I need more research on that. As far as you not taking any meds now and having the meds effect you more because of that ( I don't take any meds either expect for supplements that help my liver) my feeling is this. The fact that we don't take any meds means that we are pretty healthy.
Avatar f tn applies somewhat in the case of side effects. Some are able to endure more than others. Exact same side effects can effect two people totally different so it's really depends on the individual as to how they will react. For the most part, people tolerate treatment fairly well. It isn't easy, but we manage. I never really over think it. Just go with it and hope for the best.
909257 tn?1242668182 Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.
