My advice would be to get a new doctor who has expertise in HIV. You had no risk and you didn't need PEP. Please read about the side effects of PEP. You're taking a drug to prevent a disease that you didn't have a risk of contracting.
20 hours from the encounter i started up PEP( kaletra+ truvada), with the usual side effects + blood in the spitting ( a consequence of the deep throat or of the kaletra ? i noticed the blood only 1/2 days after the 1th assumption)
tomorrow morning the male of the couple promised me he's gonna test and show the result.
in case of negativity should i interrupt the treatment ? or i need both of them to be tested ?
So i have a lot of questions regarding the oportunity of PeP in both cases. I am a bit worried about the short term side effects and long term side effects. Should i continue PeP with both drugs? Will they damage my liver etc . Looot of questions :)

At first, I thought it was likely I was experiencing side effects of the PEPs(kaletra/combivir) but ive been off the PEPs for 3 weeks now. My Question is, what is the likelyhood of me not being infected with the virus? In all honestly the chances of all this happening by some coincedence right after a extremly questionable sexual encounter is too far fetch for me to believe and I have essentially diagnosed myself with the virus even though my 90 day test is October 16th.
During this time I have experienced many side effects. After stopping the medication I have experienced increased and uneven heart rate, joints pain, diarrhea, stomach pain , light head. Each o the has lasted for number of days replaced by another just to be back in a two weeks frame. This is going for more than a month. I have tested 3 times (last time week ago) and the tests are negative. Is it possible that this is due to the PEP or it is sign of HIV infection.
Take it right before bed time so you can sleep through the side effects. I couldn't take Kaletra due to adverse side effects.
Is combivir an appropriate HIV nPEP regimen for one time unprotected encounter with CSW of unknown status in Kenya? I'm a 24 yr male from UK. Insertive vaginal and oral. Asked about Kaletra and doc said it's low risk doesn't recommend, but I am still very worried. Started within 12 hours, but still within 72 if kaletra should be added. I feel terrible of course but appreciate any advice.
I am worried about the side effects of the medicaments I am taking Kaletra (4 each day) + Truvada (1 each day). Im having nauseas and diarrhea and had pale stool despite i was completely healthy before this.
Do you think I should take just the Truvada? Could the cut or the total stop of treatment lead to resistance if I finally have HIV?

1 Truvada and 2 Kaletra at 7am while 2 Kaletra at 7pm. Yesterday, I took 1 Truvada at 7am but since I was in a hurry after dinner, I accidentally took one more Truvada last night. I tried to vomit it up but I was able to vomit only a part (dissolved part) of it. Because of panic, I forgot to take Kaletra last night. I rushed to the A&E and asked the doctor's advice on what to do.
Since the chances a quite low Can I stop taking pep or can I stop kaletra and remain with truvada take it upto 28days.coz kaletra gives me diarrhea.
My sister-in-law is just above 10 years old. She takes Viread and Kaletra every day. My mother-in-law takes Videx EC and Ziagen. My mother-in-law is currently in Africa, and I've searched on the pills my sister-in-law is taking, and I found out that it was HIV treatment :'( I couldn't hold my tears, because I love her so much, and she is so young. I want to know what it means. Please tell me.
My doctor said healthy individuals often had severe side effects and potentially positive people sometimes saw lighter side effects. That has me even more concerned.
Can you provide any context for the effectiveness of a PEP treatment like the one I am on? Can you provide any context for my concerns about not having severe enough side effects? I know this was a ridiculously stupid incident in a very high risk environment.

Following that possible exposure i got pep azt and kaletra twice daily and currently on day 3 i cannot stand the side effects several times worse than anticipated. I want to stop but i am afraid of developing resistance for not following the regimen in a possible hiv contamination in the future. So
- whats the risk assessment of the exposure? I really missed the focusin the condom for 5 minutes
- if i stop pep now will develop resistance in future hiv problem?
