I recently changed my birth control pills from junel Fe 1/20 to Azurette. I had been on Junel fe for years, and was on Azurette before as well. I decided to switch back to Azurette because it helps my acne. However, I was advised to use a backup method for a month when exchanging. I finished my Junel Fe and got my period, then started Azurette on the Sunday after my period. I had the condom break the following Sunday after.

Hey what kind of birth control are you considering after birth??? Has anyone ever been on the depo shot? How did your body react? My friend has done the depo shot two different times and each time she has gained alot of weight with it, anyone else experience weight gain? I would like to do the depo shot bc I know I cant remember to always take the pill but I already have a hard time losing weight any advice???
I'm on Junel Fe birth control. My periods use to be 5 days before I started taking the pill in January 2014. I've noticed since February that my periods have been pretty consistent. They come on Mondays and have lasted 4 days. This month (June) my period lasted 3 days. My boobs are still a little sore. Should I be worried.
After pregnancy your doctors recommend you to go on birth control. But I'm going to try the IUD a few my friends told me it was good, no weight gain or hormones. No complications. I wouldn't do the shot it has a lot of hormones and makes you gain weight like crazy. At the end it's all about what you feel comfortable with.

Depo takes effect as soon as you get it. It worked great for me as far as not getting pregnant but I had horrible mood swings, acne, and my appetite was out of control. It doesn't do everyone like that but all birth control has some type of side effects!
I'm on birth control (Junel Fe 120). The last time I had sexual intercourse was July 11. I had to stop taking birth control around July 7 because I finished a pack, but couldn't get a new pack due to a backup on my insurance. I was off the pill for a month. I had 2 cycles since then. One very heavy like it was before I got on the pill, then one light because I started taking the pill again. I'm 8 days late on my period this month and I don't know why.

Several types of hormonal birth control are available. Birth control pills typically rely upon a combination of estrogens and progesterone and a lower dose pill may cause less weight gain. Hence if you have to take the pill then, choose a low-dose contraceptive which will reduce the risks of side effects, including weight gain.

Hi! Im 21...on the birth control "Junel" which is generic for Loestrin 24. I had my period September 21..and recently changed to Junel 3 months ago. I did not have a period in October and have taken several pregnancy tests. Then this past week when i was supposed to have my november period, i only had some brown discharge and its not consistent..just at some point everyday. I have not taken a pregnancy test since this has occurred.
Thank you evergbody! I will definitely be looking into a few of these :) & for those of you that suggested condoms thanks but there's a reason I don't want that to be our only form of birth control.
I am done with birth control, this is my third pregnancy and after altering my body three times and having a lot of complications with birth control in the past it is my husband's turn...vacectomy is scheduled after this birth!

So my pharmacy keeps switching my birth control brand. Every 3 months, I get a pack of 3 months worth of pills. Every time I go to my pharmacy to get my BC, they switch me from Junel FE 1/20 to Blisovi FE 1/20. They always say they are out of whichever brand I am currently using at the time. I Googled both brands and they have the same ingredients in them. I was wondering if it is unhealthy to keep switching brands even though they have the same stuff in the pills?
It really depends on you and your body. I personally have a hard time keeping up with pills, so that's outta the question. I've heard a lot of bad things about the depo shot(extreme mood swings, weight gain, etc). I don't like the idea of patches cuz I scar with bandaids if they're used long term. I'm thinking about the implanon implant it seems the best option for me.
I had it for about two years and loved it everyone always bashes it but my experience was great no pregnancy scared no period didn't gain weight I loved it and will probably get it after this pregnancy
Has anyone gotten the birth control implant on their arm ? If so did it make you gain weight or is your weight steady? Did it hurt? What side effects did you feel/having? Does your period come down at all ? Or does it stop it ? I know I can search this online but I want someone's perspective on it . If not what birth control are you ladies on ? I'm 36 weeks and want to make sure I'm deciding on a good birth control plan.
