Hi, I recently posted about severe side effects I was experiencing with the drug Januvia , I had severe stomach pains and sore throat. My doctor has now prescribed Galvus and said they are from the same family as Januvia. Has anybody tried this drug? if so did you experience any side effects ,especially stomach pains? . It may sound stupid but I am a little scared to take Galvus after what happened before.

I also take powder welchol at supper. I would like to take my 1000mg of Januvia at bedtime to help lower my morning blood sugar readings that usually run in the 150's to 160, Any cons to taking the Januvia without food at bedtime?

i m asking as haw the use of sitaglipin help in conlrolling the sugar levels.

I use genteal and the bottle seemed stopped up. I took the bottle tip off and found " muck" stuff growing in the bottle like in a bottle of water that's been setting out for several months. The tip had a long string like thing in it. I pulled it out and will go back to the pharmacy to tell them. It needs to be reported as contaminated. Been on januvia for a week. Blood sugar is not going below 120 ...and as high as 250. Was on glyburide. Had trouble with BS dropping as low as 40. Doc thought I would do better with this drug. I have only one kidney so was prescribed a 50mg dose. Will it regulate after I have been on for awhile?

I have been on Metformin, Januvia and Glimeperide for a few years. They are not controlling my diabetes. She wanted me to try Victoza and give up the Januvia. I got over fear of giving myself the shot, but on the 3rd day I began to get sick. On the 4th and 5th days I couldn't even go to work. Changed shot to before bed instead of morning and it made no difference. After a little over a week I stopped it. Lost 5 lbs cause I couldn't eat anything.

I had a h1n1 vaccination novartis -preservative free back in Nov 15th to be exact. I received hot sensations in arms shoulders neck from a preservative free vaccination. I have tingles,numness on extremities throught the night since 5 days after innoculation. During the day I have had it change from the hot sensations-alomost gone. Hi Driven, you need to go through them and see for your self about the side effects, but there a lot of drugs out that cause ED as side effects, if yoiu dont now have your drug data sheets anymore just google them.
