Avatar f tn Then I went for a check up and the doctor prescribed me itraconazole 100 mg and terbinafine 250 mg oral solution and Luliconazole cream. Infection was cured completely. But now again it has appeared on my body. Specifically on my neck. I am having the same oral solution and using Clotrimazole topical cream. But it's not effective like before. Instead of being cured it's spreading. I am also using ketoconazole soap for bathing.
Avatar m tn I can understand your concern for these symptoms and from the description of your symptoms and the positive response to oral antifungals, it looks like the etiology is fungal in nature. It is less likely to be eczema which responds to oral steroids. In new eczema, the affected skin appears red and elevated with small blisters which break and the affected skin will weep and ooze. In older eczema, chronic eczema, the blisters are less prominent and the skin is thickened, elevated, and scaling.

You can purchase Daktarin for mouth thrush from the pharmacy, but any other then your doctor has to prescribe. You can purchase capsules that you take by mouth from the pharmacy - 100mg or 200mg Fluconazole - this is a single dose capsule.

Avatar f tn Then i tried itraconazole 200mg a day for a month as suggested by another friend. It cured my itch but again came back after 10 days . Then a dermatologist suggested me terbinafine and fluconazole, but it dint give much result. I tried ketoconazole soap and oitment also and it got worse. Then again I tried itraconazole 100mg twice for a month, i was cured within 10 days. But again this recurrent jock itch keeps on coming back.

Avatar f tn t see stroke as a side effect for Itraconazole. It can cause a lot of other problems, including conjestive heart failure and high blood pressure. Also, you should not take Itraconazole with the following drugs: Cisapride, Quinidine, Pimozide, dofetilde, or levacetylmethadol as it can cause fatal heath rhythum with these drugs.

Avatar m tn Hi there, itraconazole is for fungal treatment. If that really helped your blisters, im quite sure what you have is really fungal treatment. Make sure you finish the capsule until at least 14 days, or even better, take 10 days after all symptoms gone (yes, the red rashes should gone too later).

Avatar f tn I had the flu,fatigue,dry cough for 2 weeks, muscle pains, and sores in my mouth..thrush was the big thing the dr. Gave me antifungal for the thrush and it didn't we until the second prescription. I still get sore at the end of my throat and my lymth in my neck are swollen. They did test fo herpes clamedia and gonorrea hepatitis a nd c syfillis and all came back negtive.
Avatar n tn These include topical antifungals like econazole (Spectazole) or oxiconazole (Oxistat) and oral antifungals like Itraconazole (Sporanox),Fluconazole (Diflucan) or Terbinafine (Lamisil) Triamcolone acetonide is a more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone.It should not be used to treat fungal infections without consulting a dermatologist. For oral thrush you do require the correct medication and you can purchase without or without a prescription from your doctor an oral gel to treat oral thrush called Daktarin. You can purchase this from your pharmacy. Nystatin drops is another treatment for oral thrush, but I believe you can only get this by prescription from your doctor.

I had treatment for that. I still have a sore throat and now I have one gland up. I keep getting sore patches in my mouth. The docs think I still have oral thrush but I'm worried it could be sti that is causing my problems? What oral sti's can u get? Is it possible that it could be an sti causing my issues.
Avatar f tn I’ve been suffering for 3 months now with oral thrush and burning mouth, I’ve tested negative for all Std with multiple tests 17 times in fact and been diagnosed with Chronic Prostatis. Initially was in a 3 month course of different antibiotics and a week after finishing I developed the oral thrush. I’ve tried everything to get rid of it including Fluconazole, nystatin and daktatin but it just comes back.
1370202 tn?1315348638 Just because you have oral thrush does not meen you have HIV. Oral thrush is very common. If you think you had a risk of HIV dont go by symptoms. Get tested.
