Avatar f tn What is the connection between itraconazole and hemmorhagic stroke in an otherwise healthy male with no pre-existing conditions to cause a stroke?
Avatar m tn The effect had begun at day 13-14 and until 6 weeks after the end of the treatement. After, they gave me itraconazole 200 (Sporanox) during 1 week and it worked very well. So my dermatologist conclued it was atypic pityriasis versicolor. Unfortunately, now he is retired. And I am in trouble because others dermatologists say it is eczema (clinical). They dont't understand why Triflucan works with me. They never treated me until the rash completely disappear.
Avatar f tn Thats correct and you are eating the wrong way
Avatar f tn Then i tried itraconazole 200mg a day for a month as suggested by another friend. It cured my itch but again came back after 10 days . Then a dermatologist suggested me terbinafine and fluconazole, but it dint give much result. I tried ketoconazole soap and oitment also and it got worse. Then again I tried itraconazole 100mg twice for a month, i was cured within 10 days. But again this recurrent jock itch keeps on coming back.
Avatar n tn However, if the patient remains symptomatic after 4 weeks, therapy with itraconazole, 200 mg daily for 6 to 12 weeks, can be given. Patients who have severe outbreak-associated histoplasmosis and all immunosuppressed patients should be treated. Initial therapy with amphotericin B, 0.7 to 1 mg/kg daily, can be followed by oral itraconazole after a favorable response is noted. Antifungal therapy should be given to all patients with chronic pulmonary histoplasmosis.
Avatar f tn I have some ondansetron 8mg for vomiting for me what would be the dosage for a dog that has terrible motion sickness in car
Avatar m tn Due to the risk of life-threatening and fatal toxicity, patients with renal or hepatic impairment should not be given colchicine in combination with potent CYP450 3A4 inhibitors such as itraconazole, ketoconazole, voriconazole, nefazodone, delavirdine, protease inhibitors, and ketolide and certain macrolide antibiotics. In patients with normal renal and hepatic function, the dosage of colchicine should be reduced when used with potent CYP450 3A4 inhibitors or within 14 days of using them.
Avatar f tn I am on week four, this diet is making me miserable, and I am now taking Itraconazole. I only wanted to breathe, and I only used the inhaler 6 times total. This seems ridiculous to still have this infection, and I only want to know how to be rid of it. Can anyone please advise?
Avatar n tn My pet spaniel has been put on lasix for his heart condition. My question is, is there a minimum dosage that's effective yet reduces the amount of water intake and his frequent urination. His quality of life and ours is very difficult right now as he must be taken out frequently. He is approximately 20 lbs.
Avatar n tn As far as I'm aware, benadry is safe for quite a long time in dogs. The general doggy dosage is 1 mg/ per pound, so that's what your vet has prescribed - most people tend to go too low on the dosage. Using it for only the summer months should be no problem at all. I had a dog who needed it a good 8 months or more of every year and it never caused any trouble. Hope it works well for your Bostie!

Avatar m tn Does antifungals agents (like flukonazole, itraconazole etc.) taken in pills works in the digestive tract? Can these drugs destroy adrenal?
Avatar f tn Determining a dosage of tramadol for dogs is an exercise in futility. As with people, if the dog has a history of seizures it is important to let your vet know this, and they will likely tell you about alternatives. While the dosage amounts vary from dog to dog, the tramadol dosage for dogs can be put into effect by using the dog’s weight as the determinant. The usual range is .5 - 1.8mg per pound.
9214378 tn?1408881584 Therefore, it’s probably cheaper to buy regular human CoQ10 supplements rather than those marketed just for dogs (because CoQ10 for dogs will probably cost more). But since dogs need less, just make sure you buy low dosage supplements. You may even want to consider liquid CoQ10 so you can customize your dogs dosage exactly. I know a couple people who opt for liquid CoQ10 for that reason." I will check out the liquid form and give recommended dose!
Avatar m tn I saw a dermatologist last week who gave me 200mg Itraconazole and lotriderm cream (clotrimazole), he told me everything would be cleared up in one week but after 5 days I haven't seen any real improvement. Is this definitely fungal? If so, why hasn't it responded to treatment? I've used daktarin powder and cream in the past and still my inner thighs felt rough. This is really affecting my quality of life and getting me down.
Avatar n tn I'm not sure about the molasses, but the dose for coconut oil (Organic) is 1 tsp. per 10lbs. Start with a low dose and work up to that... I know that molasses is used for it's Vitamin/Trace Mineral Content, but not sure about anti-inflammatory properties.... If your 14 yr. old is really suffering, your Vet should prescribe Medication for Arthrititis....These natural remedies (Listed above) take a few weeks to get in the system....Then the Vet meds. can be cut down...Good luck....
Avatar m tn I am a 24 year old male, generally healthy. About 6 months ago I noticed that 1 of my fingernails started to yellow in the corners at the distal part of my nail, at the site of yellowing the nail also got hardened. With time, the same happened in some of my other fingernails ( but stayed well demarcated at the corners. Also, both my toenails show a slow regression in the line where the nail is attached to the nail bed.
Avatar n tn Hello I agree with deadgamegrll. I would not recommend taking him off the medications without consulting the Vet because abruptly stopping any medications can be detrimental to his health. It does sound like he is on too high of a dosage. I'm sure examination and testing by his Vet will give the information needed to get his dosage regulated properly.
Avatar f tn For sure. Cats are at least 10 times smaller than a SMALL adult human female. What is given to us is too much for such a small animal. For example: The amount of Zyrtec I was told to give to Akira is only 1/4 of the adult human dosage. This is much smaller than the children's dosage, which is 1/2 of the adult human dosage. I would never ever give medications to Akira without her first seeing her doctor. I do know that no one should ever give Tylenol to their pets.
Avatar m tn I am not sure of the dosage. I'm sure you could call your Vet and ask for a good brand and dosage.
Avatar n tn t really see it can be used in dogs, much less the dosage, but it can cause a variety of side effects. I wouldn't try that on my own.
