I see a new HIV drug is on the market that may stop replication of hsv. How would people obtain this for hsv treatment?
It is already fda approved.
I saw that on both, Isentress and Truvada, but nothing about the consent the fat atrophy. It is in a year, 10 years, 1 month, 1 days ????????
should I take Isentress again at 7;30 am so that I maintain the 7:30am/7:30pm timeline for Isentress? The pharmacist and lots of online resources stressed the importance of taking the pills on time each time.
I had a risk exposure and had a base hiv test 4th gen ab/ag 25 hours after pep or after 2 truvadas and 3 isentress. Could this affect the negative result of the base test? Is the base test considered conclusive? The only risk exposure is no longer since the other party hiv test was negative and the exposure was low risk.

I had a sexual encounter and they have put me on truvada and isentress for 4 weeks. It is one week over but I have very bad stomach. I usually have a chronic gastritis due to helyco bacter that I have not managed so far to get rid of.
My doctor said I could take Nexium 20 which is my usual medication for this matter but to try no to take it everyday beacaus of interaction with isentress but he is gone on vacation now and I have a really upset stomach and I dont know what to do.
PEP is very effective - it should be three drugs -- typically two medications Truvada + Isentress. Mass had a 2 year study where no one on PEP got infected.
I think that's an older report, with outmoded testing methods. HIV apparently can delay HCV seroconversion, but not by more than a few weeks.
But you weren't at risk for HCV, anyway. It isn't heterosexuallly transmitted; a very common misconception, but the only proved sexual transmission scenario for HCV is for potentially traumatic anal sex practices in gay men.
Hello - I understand that oral with a person who is HIV+ is low risk, but would it be a good idea to take PEP anyway? My concern is the side effects of the Isentress and Truvada combination. I have the medication, but if infection is very highly unlikely, I think I shouldn't. Friends are telling me not to worry and doctor says it is up to me (which I know). Opinions?
m taking Truvada and Isentress for the last 17 days and today I got another possible exposure in the form of a needle stick injury, ive been so stressed I have not be able to work correctly and now have a panicing fear of hiv thinking I will step on needles or be stuck by some crazy person walking in the street.

In 4 hour i start PEP with Truvada + Isentress. I dont know the other man vih status. Today 27 days later i've do a DUO TEST (combo) with antigen p24 + vih +vih2. Results are NEGATIVE, but, is this results decisives?????
ll be the instance of acquiring HIV with such superficial and brief possible penetration. I began PEP treatment (Truvada and Isentress) within 48 hours. He never ejaculated throughout the night and I didn't feel pre cum at any time but I know that doesn't mean pre cum wasn't there.
Am I at potential risk for HIV transmission given he fingered me and may have caused potential tiny cuts combined with the brief/minimal possibility of penetration?
I panicked and 13 hours later I was at a clinic where I received PEP (Tenvir which is the same as Truvada and Isentress). The doctor told me to take Tenvir once a day for 30 days and Isentress twice a day for 30 days, I want to know what is my risk of exposure to HIV, and did my risk require PEP? There are no descriptions of this being a problem. In fact, if persons are taking Isentress for their HIV, the beneficial effect of the HIV therapy is likely to reduce the risk for reactivation. I would not worry.
I had a gay massage 3 weeks ago. The man who gave me a massage kissed and "fingered" me a few times and later on he "sat" on me. The penetration lasted about 10 seconds before I pulled out, and needless to say it was unprotected. Within 3 hours, I saw my doctor to discuss and he said my risk is low, but because it was unprotected sex with a gay sex worker, there is still a risk. He put me on truvada + isentress.
I freaked out and rushed to the nearest emergency room and I was put on pep within almost 2 hours after (truvada and isentress) but I read pep is not 100% and not really tested for non occupational exposures ....am I at high risk?????
