Common Questions and Answers about Is xyzal non drowsy

xyzal

Avatar n tn Or could this be a food allergy? I take a wonderful antihistamine called xyzal. It works really well but when it wears off I'm in trouble. I'm getting an allergy test soon but have to be off the antihistamine for 5 days and I'm scared about that. I get so uncomfortable. Has anyone out there ever experienced this similiar problem?
Avatar f tn I feel like a whole new person! Oh btw it is called Xyzal. The name I gave you was the generic. Hope you feel better!!!
Avatar m tn HI, Mar 2018 I was fine. Allergy test revealed Cedar, Elm tree allergen. I began allergy shots, for a month, afterwards I began sneezing up a storm. Developed chronic rhinitis in the process. I've also developed montly infections, non stop since Mar 2018. Was on antibiotics for 4 months straight, last year. This year Feb/March been on antibiotics Amox/Clav. Each time, I complete course of antibiotics, I begin sneezing up a storm !!
Avatar n tn Hello there, Welcome to the allergy forum. I see you joined Med help this month. You say you have taken the xyzal tablets for 5 years. That's a long time to be taking a medication. Here is what I would suggest. I would make an appointment with the doctor who prescribed the xyzal tablets for you. I would tell your doctor what you just shared in your post. That if you do not take the tablet for more than a day, you experience itchiness all over your body especially on your arms and legs.
Avatar f tn But the past few days, some hives have started to come back. I have been taking benadryl along with the xyzal as needed. I was wondering if I could take 2 xyzal a day instead o 1. The only other medication that I am on is ortho cyclin birth control. Would I be okay if I took a 5 mg of xyzal early in the morning and then another in the late afternoon? Thanks in advance!
Avatar n tn discharge with a dough like texture but no smell. I am taking xyzal but my appetite has slowly decreased every day. Now i am to the point that I dont want to eat at all. If I do eat all I want to eat is nuts. Also have been trying to get pregnant for 1 1/2 years after miscarriage.
Avatar f tn Can i take any type of non drowsy allergy medicine. I took a 24 hr non drowsy generic brand of allegra before i was pregnant? Can i still take it? I really am having a tough time with allergies without any medicine.
Avatar f tn I also have celiac disease and am trying to figure out if the xyzal is gluten free. I was taking benadryl. I dont do well with any antihistamines. I was taking Benadryl. There is also an injection you can get.
Avatar f tn she needs to have an allergy test done, bless her heart also there is a non drowsy benedryl formula it is usually the blue dye free ones and it will say non drowsy on it that you can get for your daughter until you can figure something else out that way she's not sleeping all the time but also not itching all the time hope this helps
Avatar f tn Allergy to the polyester that is in your threads of all your clothes. Even if they are 100 % cotton, the thread is not. When you ask your doctor about it, he will say no. Don't believe him. 75% of questions on this dermatology section have the same thing. It is an epidemic they are hiding. At least wear only 100% cotton. And no hat. And your head itch? Leaning your head back on your couch, and your pillow. Fold up a cotton towel and that can be your pillow.
Avatar n tn Overdoses of ANY medication can be fatal, no matter what it is. The dosage amount is based on your body composition, height, weight, etc., so 1800mg (while it is an exceedingly high dosage) could possibly be a normal dosage size for someone large in stature. I was under the idea that it was common knowledge that overdosing on any drug can be fatal, but I guess you didn't know.
Avatar f tn m tired of being tired! Is anyone aware of any non drowsy allergy meds safe during the 2nd trimester???
5574172 tn?1376700381 Depends on how far along you are if you're in the first trimester it's ok to take light pain med or non drowsy allergy meds i just asked my Dr and he said it's ok. As far as being further along i don't know.
Avatar n tn I checked my favorite drug site and they are the same. OTC Zyrtec is essentially the same medication. Some people say that Xyzal is a more 'purified" form of the chemical. You can try Zyrtec to see if it works as well. Take care.
Avatar f tn I am still not satisfied , as i think its mainly due to sun. But what is it? I apply aquaphor to heal the redness and itching. Is there any way i can avoid this? Do i have sun allergy? I have tried sunscreens as well but nothing works?
Avatar f tn I finally figured it out its was only happening the nightd he would have the xyzal....The xyzal made the outside of his lobes and his ears feel like they were on fire!!!
Avatar n tn Call your Doctor and ask him/her if you can take claritin non drowsy... I've read a few articles that say you can. I take benadryl, even though it makes me super sleepy... Good luck!
Avatar f tn That's really a question for your ob as opinion can vary. But benedryl is a universally ok to use, although it'll probably make you drowsy lol.
Avatar m tn Hi....what your feeling is the withdrawals and is very tyiply common going by 5mg drops gets to be a bit much in the lower doses have you started on the 3 in 1 calcium/magnesum/zinc yet??

Avatar f tn Thanks so much for your reply my friend x i'm very grateful you took the time to answer i will but some. Also re: Benadryl, it's been posted else where to use it for insomnia caused by Opiate withdrawral. At my Pharmacy they have 3 packet's one is yellow and the other one is blue if i remember correct. I did ask them which is the drowsy one but the assistant didn't know. The yellow box had non drowsy but nothing on the blue box.
Avatar f tn I am not sure if I have a head cold, or if it's just my allergies. As of right now I am in the process of switching doctors so I can't really make an appointment since my records are still in the process of being reviewed and transferred. I have just been dealing with it but my nose is so stuffed and my eyes are all watery and red, I am miserable. I'm not sure what to take.
