Xopenex® Inhalation Solution (levalbuterol) is a short acting inhaled medicine, a rescue medicine, with fewer side effects than similar medicines used for the relief of acute asthma symptoms. It is not a medicine well-suited for long term, sustained asthma control.
There are other classes of asthma medicines, called controller medicines and these do not have the same excitatory side effects.

I was told bt a cardiologist that there is now a good alternative to amiodarone. I thought he was saying Amtak but apparently I was wrong. Any guesses as to what the medication is?
I have my doubts that I should be on amiodarone with my lung issues.
I have been getting kind of cloggy since I have been on it. Clearing my throat or feeling like I can't clear my throat.

Hi was wondering if anyone could recomend a medication to substitute my ventolin at night as I'm haveing lots of issues with insomnia hence I don't take it at night like I should.
A chemist has recomended Bricional turbuhailor are they any good- do they speed up your heart and keep you awake like Ventolin?

I was diagnosed with migraine headaches 17 years ago. They cam and went around my period. As I had my first child the headaches became mor frequent and at one time I had had 63 days straight with pain. I was hospitalized and diagnosed with non-aura tension type headaches. I was then put on triptan type medications and was told to never take over-the-counter pain medication again.
This is a public forum and I don't believe there have been any Vets on here for a long time. Some may be able to offer advice but you really should contact your treating Vet. You may try a search for seizures on the site and find some past discussions.
I got Injections of corticosteroids for fetal lung development 2 weeks ago (2 shots, 24 hours apart). I know that betamethazone is another one that is used for that. The only side effect I had the first night was I went to bed at 11:00pm (as usual) and woke up at 4:30am and wasn't able to fall back asleep.
The next day I got the shot and I felt a little anxious like I had to be busy and keep moving (lasted about an hour) and I again was up early, but at 5:00am or so.
So I went to the doctor and they gave me a Steroid Shot, the bumps and itchy red patches went away for a few weeks, then they came back.. I have scars there now.. Well, I went back to the doctor, they gave me another steroid shot, they went away again for a couple weeks, then came back. I was about fed up by this point, so I went to a dermatologist, and BTW this is like 5 monthes later...
I have a concern. I'm taking a steroid pack for a bad cold and we are trying to get pregnant. I'm felling better but how long should we wait to try again? Or is it ok to keep trying with this in my system? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i think i've only been on hydrocortisone for about 2-2 1/2 years, so hopefully my adrenals will kick back in.
are you telling me that the hydrocortisone can cause anxiety and depression as a side effect sometimes? if that is so---i probably would be especially susceptible since i've had problems with both of them off and on for years, mostly depression, the kind of anxiety i have been having now i have not had in a really long time.

It is indeed possible to have a low-grade, less aggressive form of RA. Each person who has it is different in terms of symptoms and treatment, however all the symptoms you've listed are possible with RA. Your muscle pain could be a result of tensing them unconsciously to protect the sore joints, or you could have fibromyalgia as well as the RA. it's not uncommon for both to occur together.
Some patients develop steroid-induced rosacea within weeks of applying a topical steroid; others may not experience it for years.
You can use tacrolimus ointment for this after consulting a dermatologist.Using this rosacea often resolves the itch, redness, and tenderness of steroid-induced rosacea in 7 to 10 days with twice daily application. Complete clearing of steroid-induced rosacea usually takes 1 to 2 months. Sometimes clearing takes a bit longer.
Ringworm won't look like a pimple- so I don't think the pimple is really associated, it's like just a pimple that will heal up.
If you haven't seen it clear up with the creams your doctor gave you, I'd recommend heading back to your doctor to have a second look- I'd lean more towards it's likely eczema if the cream you were given didn't clear it up.
