Common Questions and Answers about Is junel the same as microgestin

junel

Avatar f tn Did you get off of the pill and the depression is STILL affecting you? I just started microgestin about a week and a half ago and over the past few days I've been having the anxiety attacks, getting emotional for no reason, depression, etc. I feel better today, but if you're off of it right now and it's still causing depression then I think maybe I should switch pills now...
Avatar f tn Sorry, what is Junel?? The pull out method, also if not effective at all. Since you tested the day before your period was due...could have just been too early to detect the hormones. I would re test now with first morning urine, you are late enough now that it should show up accurately enough.
Avatar f tn That happens when one miss Junel Fe for one day. Junel Fe usually take the body's bones and reduce the calcium. Using the reduction of calcium, Junel Fe then can make the baby's mess to be less (as babies are made from pouches and the bones). It's a dangerous and really effective drug. Stop the bleeding with ivory (plant) and ivory (mineral).
Avatar n tn Maybe you should request different birth control? Junel is typically one the insurance company likes the most, but there are other ones like Larin Fe. Each birth control pill has slightly different chemical make up that work for some women while can makes others feel side effects and sick. I’m also taking Junel Fe, and it’s worked alright for me, so I’d recommend asking to switch pills.
Avatar n tn I finished my Junel Fe and got my period, then started Azurette on the Sunday after my period. I had the condom break the following Sunday after.(so I had 8 Azurette pills in my system when it broke, all taken on time). I immeditatly took Plan B after, and also took 2 Azurette pills from another pack because I was freaking out. I am now concerned that I caused ovulation (if this is possible from birth control overdose??
Avatar f tn I take Junel fe 1/20 birth control pill at pretty much the same time every day. I have been having lots of sex without any other protection. I have also been on 3 different antibiotics in the past month which I’m not sure if they affect the pill or not. I am suppose to start my period in a few days but I have been having lower cramping at night, breast tenderness and nausea up to a week & 1/2 before my period which is not normal for me.
Avatar f tn Try switching to a different pill. Sometimes it takes time to find the right pill. For me, Microgestin is fine, though I had to switch from the green to the purple pack due to breakthrough bleeding. However, for other people, it isn't fine. You're one of those people. I have a friend who had to go through several different types of pills before finding one that didn't make her emotions a roller coaster.
Avatar f tn I have been on Junel Fe for a couple months now me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on the 20th while I went to go visit him .I lost my birth control the day before and spotted two days later help ?
1741212 tn?1310996224 that Microgestin is one of the pills women like because, over the course of time, it can stop periods & can also be the reasons for worrysome "symptoms" i've had (nausea, tinlging/tenderness of the breasts, absence of period). I feel this feedback is contradictory and leaves me feeling usettled as I've now gone almost 2 months without a period and for the last 3wks have been not taking birthcontrol. Can this pill cause me to NOT have a regular period?
Avatar m tn The first week of February I had discharge that looked like it could be old blood, but I never bleed to the point that I had to have pads or tampons on. In March same thing happened. I saw a spot of blood in the toilet water, but I am not sure if this was my period. Has anyone in this pill experienced such situation? I thought that the pill would make my period regular because before it was not. I am not sure what to think. Let me know.
Avatar f tn I switched to Junel fe 1/20 about 2 months ago, I've taken the pill daily and haven't been sexually active since I switched, but before I was. I have yet to get my period in these two months I've been on it, I've felt like I was on my period and even got cramps but no bleeding. the last time i got my period was July 4th. what should I do? Does Junel Fe cause no bleeding periods? should I be worried?
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, I am a 20 year old female. I have a few concerns & this might be a little long, so I thank you in advance for reading this. I have been on the same birth control pill, Junel Fe 1.5mg (generic for microgestin) for almost a year now.
Avatar m tn I have been taking junel fe 1/20 for 4 years, with the occasional missed pill but for the most part daily at the same time. I however forgot to take two pills, and then had unprotected sex with ejaculation on one of the days I missed the pills. What are my chances of getting pregnant?
Avatar f tn Hi! Im 21...on the birth control "Junel" which is generic for Loestrin 24. I had my period September 21..and recently changed to Junel 3 months ago. I did not have a period in October and have taken several pregnancy tests. Then this past week when i was supposed to have my november period, i only had some brown discharge and its not consistent..just at some point everyday. I have not taken a pregnancy test since this has occurred.
Avatar m tn When I first started taking the pill, I had normal periods for about 4 days. As the months went on, the periods got much lighter and shorter, limiting them to just about a day. Now, this past month, I had no period at all (but still the normal slight cramping that goes along with it.) This is a normal reaction to birth control and not a sign of pregnancy correct? I was previously on Lo Loestrin Fe and never got periods with this pill.
Avatar f tn It is most effective if you take it at the same time daily, so I set my alarm on my cell phone to go off daily at the same time. If you start experiencing nausea while taking it, changing the time can work in some cases. My friend has the Mirena, and after a while, she stopped having periods altogether while on it. You replace it every five years if you continue to need it but can have it removed if you decide you want to get pregnant sooner. It's an IUD but has hormones.
Avatar f tn Same here, I've been taking microgestin fe 1/20 for about 5 months now and the namebrand version of it for around 6 months before that. I feel very pregnant, did not get my period during the placebo pills, and now 8 days after the last of my sugar pills i quit my birth control since i feel like this and it could be pregnancy if not i feel gross anyways.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been on Microgestin Fe 1/20 for about 5 months and last month switched to Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 to assist breakthrough bleeding. It is working out however, prior to switchjng doses my acne had cleared up GREATLY but since I began the new dose I have had more acne and breakouts. I was wondering if this is a typical side effect of switching doses, if I should switch brands completely or if stress from school etc. is to blame. I am 18.
Avatar f tn I have been taking the same BC for years and its one where you only have a period every three months. Now on my wedding day I started bleeding for some reason. (Prob from stress) I have had some spotting and missed a pill on my honeymoon (about two days after the incident) but then doubled up. I still have had a little bit of spotting since then. I know sperm can stay alive inside you for about 4 days or so after. I'm curious on if I could be pregnant or not.
Avatar f tn I was put on Junell three years ago, my periods were light. And my obgyn wanted me to get the blood flow regulated. I went without having a period for 2.5years, and one period in the past 5/6 months. I took myself off June l, because I didn't feel that I had a sex drive, and I didn't like how my hormones were making me feel. Well I feel more like myself emotionally, but my period is as heavy , (blood flow wise) like how it was when I was a teeny bopper!
Avatar f tn when ever u miss a pill besure to take the one for the day and the u miss u should be fine don;t stress about and be sure to use protection when taking antibiocts and othe certain med they lower the effectiveness witch incress the chance of pregancy
Avatar f tn Also, oxy is more soluble and I believe it is a first pass metabolite, meaning it crosses the blood brain barrier after one pass thru the liver, where hydro is metabolized twice by the liver before becoming active. Oxy is much more powerfull than hydro per milligram and has a meaner withdrawel too.
