OK, if your T4 is low your TSH should be high. It is not. So that would mean the toxic nodule is producing T3 which is causing your TSH to be low. Low TSH = hyperthyroid.
I think the treatment options are meds to suppress it, surgery to remove it, or radioactive iodine to shut it down. You should discuss it with your Dr.
You might get a clearer picture of what is going on if you get blood tests for TSH, Free T4 and Free T3.
If you want to test if you have non-clear spit then all you have to do is get an empty water bottle and spit into it for about 5 minutes and check the color afterwards. I am not sure what the chemical is, I am only sure that it makes my stomach upset, it is not clear, we have to get rid of this chemical somehow.

toxity. He said I had Polyneuropathy. He did a Sensory Nerve Conduction, Needle EMG, F-Wave, Peroneal.R.
Labs done..SR, TSH, T3, B12, folic acid, HBAIC, Vit B6, Pep, Immunofixation. All were within normal limits with the exception of B6.
should I seek a different doctor and I feel like I am to the point where I need it removed for it had negatively affected every aspect of my life. My levels did drop since treatment, but I am still hyper and now it seems as though the nodule is growing again. I have been in this revolving door for some time now; many DR visits, urgent care and ER visits and they all seemed stumped! I can't keep living my life in bed feeling this horrible. Any suggestions?
My husband started traditional treatment 10/3/08.Interfon etc. He is ill and basically unable to work. Extreme fatigue-back and joint pain-abdominal upset-loosing weight very quickly-black stools and black coating on tongue. Is this normal? So i went to walmart, & when I was walking to the door. There was this car just standing there idk but the car was on & I passed behind it because cars were coming. I just relapsed after 60 days clean and ended up in a psych unit b/c I took too much and was out of control I am also bipolar.
In no way do I blame my husband for my drug use (fiorcet) and he doesn't force me to swallow pills. Of course, between being bipolar with severe depression and mania (yes, I'm on meds for this and see a psychiatrist), I'm not an easy person to live with.
