hi, my question is can we mix albuterol, ipratropium, pulmacort together and the order is give these
medication together by nebulizer.
I purchased the Omron Portable Ultrasonic Nebulizer and am using the vials of Albuterol and Ipratropium. I can only use 1/2 vial because more than that speeds my heart up too much. Can I save the last 1/2 of the vial for later use? Does anybody know of a more affordable way to get the medicine I need? I am paying out of pocket and this economy gets harder every day it seems like.
Xopenx 1.25 mg and Ipratropium Bromide 0.02%.
I am using Duoneb with nebulizer 5 or 6 times a day. Also I just started Spiriva one time a day. I have started having a very tight feeling in my chest. I feel it is beause the two meds are contraindicated. If this is true, how may I wean from the Duoneb? My family physician has diagnosed me as having COPD. Thank you.
The only prescription medication I use now is Duoneb (albuterol and ipratropium) in a nebulizer. I use about two ampules a day. I do not use a rescue inhaler. Instead I have a small, portable nebulizer. It is so small that it fits into my purse. The advantage is that I can take as little as I need, sometimes just a few puffs. It is made by Omron and costs about $200. It is worth every cent.
I use Duoneb which is a combination of albuterol and ipratropium. You are making me wonder if I can manage with ipratropium alone. I have never tried it. I will ask my lung doctor. I use a portable nebulizer. With that I can take as little as I need (or as much).
P.S. Albuterol, if you are using it, is drying. That is another reason for using a mucolytic. I use an albuterol combination in a nebulizer. I can't do without it, but the B5 reverses the drying.
Now comes the hard part.How to get rid of the film? You need an electrical nebulizer immediately. And you need your physician to prescribe TWO solutions. Ipratropium Bromide inhalation solution .02 (0.5 mg/vial) and Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation solution (O.83%). There are severalissues.You will eventually acustum yourself to these solutions and they will stop working.You should have at least two weeks.Probably months, but at least two weeks before this happens.
Thanks...I'm glad you mentioned the nebulizer because I checked, and I already have some of the ipratropium bromide. I've been using it at night before bed. It seems to help some.
I don't remember what the doctor told me about my thyroid - I could go back and check the paperwork. I do know that they only did the one test because my doctor said it came back "normal" so the other test wasn't necessary. Thoughts?

Sinusitis, chronic bronchitis then COPD. All because doctors refused to treat the sinusitis. Because of this I can't afford the meds that are the staple of COPD treatment. But it did lead me into an alternative that works better and with less side effects. Benadryl works on the same principle as does ipratropium but I have never been told to use it. I can't tolerate Advair (causes angina) nor Albuterol (causes worse congestion and coughing).
It is unusual for a person to be taking oral prednisone for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), especially in a dose as high as 20 mg daily. That dose puts you at risk for a lot of steroid side effects, such as muscle weakness, bone thinning, cataracts, fragile skin, hypertension etc. You should ask your doctor why you need 20 mg of prednisone. You may also want to consult with a lung specialist about this and other inhaled medicines available to people with COPD.
My 20 month old son has asthma. He is on twice a day nebulizer of budesodine. I think it is very similar to pulmocort.
He has developed a very red rash in the exact area of the mask. I am trying to get him off the mask and to the pipe but it has been difficult. He has been treated with many things from hydrocortisone to various antibiotic creams,ointments, and currently erythromycin gel. The gel is mainly alcohol and really burns his face. Does anyone have any ideas of how to help?
so she told me to continue using my inhaler and nebulizer and she extended my montelukast treatment. so i did what she told me i kinda felt better i guess it's because of the xray result so i don't really notice how tired my body and my mind and my breathing was becoming. i was already sick for seven weeks when i started feeling tired and bad and i was crying cause i felt like i was not getting better so i visited my fathers Friend Dr. she the prescribed prednisone for 5 days 2x a day.

As you know the clinical trials of Pulmicort Flexhaler® (budesonide inhalation powder) were performed on children age 6 and above. I am taking Flovent, Spiriva and ProAir. Since I've been on the medication I've been Dxed with idiopathic neuropathy, cervical radiculopathy, carpel tunnel. I also have other entrapment symptoms, ulnar ,and I think in my legs as well.
Sometimes I get a burst of nerve pain in my arms and legs a few minutes after using the Flovent and it also causes some tendon swelling. I've shown over and over that I have less pain on lower doses of meds.
Hello :-). My son has asthma which manifests itself in a cough and often shows up during/after colds (he doesn't appear to have any problems with breathing in enough air... no emergencies, thank goodness). He takes Singulair every night, Albuterol as needed and Benadryl as needed (all as suggested by his doctor). He recently had a cold and his asthma flared up. We gave him albuterol via his nebulizer 3 times daily for around 6 days (his ped said 4-7 days).
I know a lot of people that prefer and use a nebulizer over an inhaler. I prefer the nebulizer. My doctor has me using the neb more than an inhaler. I am to use my inhaler only when I absolutely cannot use my neb or for very minor issues.
Personally, I find it is MUCH more effective. The nebulizer produces a much finer mist than what comes out of an inhaler enabling it to get deeper into the lungs.
