flexibility

Avatar n tn I had problems with the elbow in terms of mobility and pain for a couple of years, but from when I was about 20 until just recently it has been fine, apart from cracking noises now and then when I stretched it out. During these years I have been working out - push-ups, arm curls etc. Last summer (2017) I started with pull-ups and chin-ups and in late August I started to notice pain in the elbow. One morning I woke up and could only bend my arm halfway to the shoulder.
Avatar m tn I have flexibility issues in almost all of my joints (Knees, elbow, wrist, ankle). Coincidentally, all the joints in the right side of my body are worse. I cannot squat as the back of my feet cannot touch my butt, my hand cannot touch my shoulder, cannot do pushup as wrist will hurt a lot. I have done xrays but doctor said my xrays are fine. Went through physiotherapy but joints flexibility does not improve no matter how much i stretched.
Avatar n tn flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular. Ready? Check out these 8 arthritis-friendly workouts. They’re sure to get you going. Yoga may seem like a new fitness trend, but actually this holistic approach to fitness has been around since ancient times. It’s based on moving through a routine of set poses, or stretches, which increase flexibility, yet protect joints from injury.

Avatar f tn One of the most common congenital abnormalities of the human heart is a defect. It is of considerable clinical importance as it is the area for the cardiac conduction system (pathway for electrical impulses to regulate heart rate).
Avatar n tn Although it may be used as a treatment for cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma, the primary reason for taking Decadron for ovarian cancer patients is because it can help prevent an allergic reaction to chemotherapy. In some cases, it is used to increase appetite in patients who have a reduced one. It is a steroid, not chemotherapy. An ovarian cancer patient should never be encouraged to rely exclusively on Decadron as chemotherapy.
Avatar n tn He takes Lisinopril and he has had several episodes of lightheadedness, nausea and vomiting, and low BP while playing golf. Are there other classes of anti-hypertensives that don't result in hypotension DT excessive sweating? He's also had 7 kidney stones in the last 5 months. Could Lisinopril and his excessive sweating be a contributing factor?
Avatar m tn Typically I recommend waiting 6 weeks for the pocket to heal before any activity that involves a lot of shoulder movement. Remember that regardless of the age of the pacemaker you should avoid excessive movement on that side, such as throwing a ball, so you might have to modify your golf swing accordingly.
Avatar m tn I have returned to gymnastics after 3 years out and find that I get severe cramp in the arches of my feet. It seems to occur if I point my toes too hard and for long periods of time. My feet don't seem to be as flexible as they used to be as I used to have a much better toe point before. As I have to train in barefeet, I've also noticed that they can get quite cold sometimes. Can anyone help?
Avatar m tn I know a lot of people go to South Carolina to golf....I think Hilton Head is what it is called. My big brother goes there a lot. If you see him....Aim for his head!!!! 398059 tn?1447945633 Hi! I'm glad that you're back in the Land of the Living!!!! I hate that kind of fatigue. When I'm feeling that tired, I notice that I'll collapse on the weekends and stay in bed the entire time. It does help, until the next weekend rolls around . . . I'm glad you're feeling better.
Avatar f tn Low iron, or more specifically, low ferritin, is one of the most overlooked causes of low thyroid function. [1] Ferritin is the stored form of iron that is used by the cells and a better measure of available iron levels than serum iron. Iron is a component of multiple enzymes involved with cellular metabolism, so low iron means poorly functioning enzymes, and less than optimal metabolism. Those with low iron also have low T4 and even lower T3 levels.
1161780 tn?1266711844 Strength In Numbers I began writing about my experiences with doctors, diagnosis and this thing called heart disease in December of 2009. Since then I have had dozens of emails and comments asking for advice. I share what I know. For instance, if your doctor isn’t taking you seriously, move on! Having trouble explaining your condition to family or friends, try this.
407591 tn?1202337576 no infections, been on the same meds for a long time, no allergies. Now the lump is almost the size of a golf ball. It is located in the left arm 3" from the center of the arm pit. It tends to make my left hand get numb and my arm often hurts. My grandfather has colon cancer and my mom had breast cancer. I am 34 yrs old and have not had any trauma or infection of any type. Hate going to doctors but may be necissary at this point. Any advice?
Avatar n tn when playing golf I have difficulty in judging how far away a target is. It consistently appears to me to further away than it is. Are there any eye exercises that I could do?
Avatar f tn Absolutely correct, supine, an upward increment of greater than or equal to 30 bpm paired with symptoms of orthostatic intolerance meets the criterion of POTS, regardless of the absolute value of the heart rate. I highly recommend you get a tilt table test, acesew, as that can confirm the diagnosis of dysautonomia/POTS. You may need to go to a major teaching hospital to access one of these tests, if you are not already accessing your specialists through one.

649848 tn?1534633700 Ok - I guess I just don't understand this whole thing so maybe someone can help me out. As I've posted before, I was diagnosed hypo back in June and I just went to dr today for follow up to get results of recent blood work. Free T-4 was 1.3 (range: 0.8 - 1.8) TSH was 0.12 (range 0.40 - 4.50) My synthroid was cut back from 88 mcg to 75 mcg based on the TSH result I had thought Free T-3 was on the lab order, but there was no result for it, so I questioned that.
