The first few days flexibility improved gradually, but then the bursitis came back. I had an X-ray exam but the doctor said that it only showed my old trauma and nothing new. Doctor noted: "Active ROM: slightly reduced extension and great reduction of flexion. Passive ROM: soft endfeel on both extension and flexion.
Avatar m tn My B/S never goes over 95 fasting and I keep it under 140( at the 2 hour mark) after eating about 50 carb meals if I walk. I walk when I play golf and really want to play forever. What you think about that shot ? I have tried all the exercises over the years and I do work out everyday. I just need that pain free swing.

Since my last flare, I have some very mild gait/balance issues that my neuro probably wouldn't assess as requiring physical therapy. But I would like to be proactive and begin building a repertoire of exercises which will help me improve my gait and leg strength now (rather than wait to see if things get worse later).

I've improved a lot and can now do the splits however I recently strained my right leg muscles, especially in the thigh. It's not getting any better and I am getting stiffer and less flexible as it is too painful to stretch. Is there any way I could stretch again soon and make the muscle loosen again?

Avatar m tn Hello, I suffered a stroke 9 months ago.Great news that you regaining hand movement. What I found really useful was all types of weight bearing exercises. Just simply put your hands on the ground on all fours and put weight on your arm. When I was weak I used to lie on one of the large pilates balls to half support my weight, then I got rid of the ball and just spent as much time as I could putting weight on my arm.
Avatar m tn I can no longer shoot a basketball, swing a golf club, or curl anything more than 10 lbs. It takes a tremendous effort to flex my bicep, and you can tell by comparing the right and left bicep while flexed that there is a huge difference. My left bicep is fine. I was able to play basketball just fine about 3 weeks ago.

Avatar n tn s advice, you need to be in some sort of physical therapy to strenghten and improve flexibility of muscles related to your spine. Also, if your accident was fairly recent, you need to rest a lot, so not being able to get out of bed is your body trying to tell you something. You also need to be on some sort of medicine, either pain killers or antispasmodics, to help control the discomfort you are experiencing in your back, since the shots are not enough.
