Common Questions and Answers about Imiquimod cream generic

aldara

Avatar m tn I was prescribed this SUPER expensive cream (no insurance) called Imiquimod 5% cream, generic for Aldera, and I have been applying it for about a week and a half. I must admit that I have not been taking it exactly like I was told because there seemed to be a little wiggle room regarding application schedules. 3x a week, M/W/F or T/Th/S, the Dr. even said I could do it for 3 days in a row and be done for the week.
Avatar m tn 22–,24 In these trials 698 immunocompetent individuals were randomized to receive topical therapy with imiquimod 5% cream, 1% cream (22,,23 only) or vehicle control. The topical treatment was applied daily22 or three times a week23,,24 for 16 weeks or until lesions cleared. Complete clearance of warts was observed in 37–52% of those treated with 5% cream, 14–21% of those treated with 1% cream and 0–11% of those treated with vehicle control by intent-to-treat analyses.
Avatar m tn Treatment options include several medications(like podophyllum resin, Podofilox (Condylox), Trichloroacetic and bichloroacetic acids, Imiquimod 5% cream and interferons) are available, which can be applied directly to the surface of the warts. Other treatment options include electrical cautery, surgical removal, Carbon dioxide laser treatment and electrodesiccation. Since the wart is recurring, so you can resort to laser treatment also. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn The last time I went in to get them burned off she prescribed me imiquimod (I think that's the generic version of Aldara). And I'd say I used it for probably 4-6 weeks. What I found was that it helped to prevent my new, small warts from growing any larger, but didn't actually make them go away. I stopped using it because it began to cause painful sores/lesions in other areas of my penis. After I stopped using it I sprouted a few more new warts and my current warts grew even larger.

Avatar m tn peginterferon are injections, this is what clears hbv by boosting your immune response.it is a weekly injection.in india you have also generic interferon which is very cheap vs pegintf but generic intf needs 3 injections per week nizonide500, tablets to take with meals every 4-5hrs simvastatin, tablets to take with meals i think that pegintf+simvastatin is enough, once hbsag starts to go down and alt to go up you can stop simvastatin and keep pegintf only.
Avatar m tn the doctor gave me two prescriptions today - one for generic valtrex (twice a day for a week), and an antibiotic called azithromycin that he said was used for some urinary infections and chlamydia (even though i tested negative for chlamydia two weeks ago). i took the antibiotic, but i'm holding off on taking the antiviral just yet since i'm not actually broken out.
Avatar n tn Thanks for your Advice. The skin is healing. Also Doctor had given me an antibiotic cream to apply after cleaning and drying that part. Everything seem to be okay for now. Thanks a lot for being an excellent guide. I really appreciate.. w/o you I would not have confidence to cope the situation.
Avatar f tn Anyway he didn't prescribe an MRI -- just prednisone. Yep...generic prednisone. I JUST finished my last 10mg tablet today. Been on it for 9 days. No more vibrations. My low back is doing better, too. I'm 40 yrs old and will be resuming intense sports activity in a week. I exercised for the first time yesterday in weeks and everything is okay. I'll post something later if there are any changes, but at this time I don't know exactly what it was.
