ibuprofen breastfeeding premature baby

Has anyone on here had a premature baby? What was it like? Was the baby healthy? Im just curious. I kinda feel like my baby is going to come a little early. I hope she doesnt tho, im currently 31 weeks.

I just had my baby on the 3rd and I am currently breastfeeding. The doctor prescribed me vicodin 10/325's and they were supposed to be Norco's. Well I took them assuming they were Norco's and my baby was sleeping a lot more and seemed slightly loopy. Needless to say I am no longer taking them and my baby is better. With that said I am curious as to what pain medicine would be safe to take while breastfeeding?

I've googled it & gotten so many different answers.. I'm 8 weeks + 3 days. just been having sinus crap going on, and I feel like I may have a small fever.. I feel fine other than that. is it okay to take an ibuprofen.. & if yes, how much? I know the baby is at a sensitive state right now & I'll suck it up if I have to. I was just worried me having a fever would affect the baby.. thank you in advance!! ftm and freaking out!

Jandous in premature baby is dangerous or not ? My baby boy who is just 8-days old, his value of Jandous is Continuously changing, some times it goes to 16.4, some times 10.4, some times 12.4, some times 13.4. I am very much worried about him. His remaining all tests are clear. Doctors remain my baby in blue ultra violet light. What can i do for him. please help me.

Get nipple cream and I am pretty sure you can alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen. Babies can not take ibuprofen but I was given it with my pain killers after delivery while breastfeeding. Did they not give you and loratab or Percocet after you delivered or did you run out. Normally that helps.

My midwife said I could take advil because of pain and fever and it was safe for my baby he's perfectly fine.

Oh just re-read your question and honestly I don't know. I do know you can take ibuprofen while breastfeeding and you can take tylenol and ibuprofen together. So if you have ibuprofen I'd take that.

A friend of mine had your baby about 7 weeks early and her doctor told her that her milk was also premature; which explains why you feel like you aren't producing enough.

All u can take while breastfeeding is ibuprofen u can't take tylenol. It's weird cause while ur prego all u can have is tylenol and while breastfeeding all I can take is ibuprofen funny huh.

I had a c-section with my first. The gave me percocet in the hospital and to come home for the pain. I breastfed and used formula (I didn't have enough milk). My baby was fine. I didn't think the recovery was that bad. I telly didn't have any pain after being home a couple of days.

Im planning on breastfeeding my secound aswel but I was told secound time its a little easy as u hv already had experience how to latch it on..

t prescribe you anything that would harm the baby. My baby girl is 2 weeks old and she still does the same thing.

t take aspirin at any point during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It does affect the baby. All you can take is Tylenol for pain relief or fever reduction.

Hey ladies my baby is premature I had herOctober 8 @ 28weeks she just came home from the NICU November 25 she haven't had a bm n five days.

My hospital offered a class. It really did nothing for me though. Breastfeeding is a learning process for both you and baby. The best way to learn about it is trying it out and following through. Also asking your doctor or midwife questions you may have is a good option too. We took our son to the ped yesterday for his 4 day old appt and even she had advice to offer as far as breastfeeding, milk coming in, diapering with breastfeeding, etc. Good luck!

I received some baby bottles in my baby shower can I use those bottles for when im breastfeeding like put the milk into regular bottles?

I know for my first baby ibuprofen worked the best for the abdominal and back cramping/pain. It helped even better than the prescribed pain pills. Also walking a little bit...unfortunatly i had this pain for several weeks after baby was born. Good luck i hope you get some relief.

ok I just read online that you are not suppose to take ibuprofen while you are pregnant again im 5 weeks i took total of seven not all together of course over say a period of maybe two days due to a severe toothache did i do something stupid is my baby going to be ok.

Is it true you shouldn't take ibuprofen it can harm the baby? I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. Should I be worried that I've harmed the baby from taking it? I'm 5 weeks BTW.

I was terrified. I didn't get to try it before my baby was born because she is premature, so after I had her the lactation consultant wheeled in a pump and told me to start trying. Never using a pump before I was very Nervous. Especially because she said I should pump for 20 minutes every 2 hours and will probably not get any milk the first week maybe a little over.

ve had chronic hip pain aka bursitis for about 18 years it got worse when pregnant pain still lingers all the time my dr think i am faking it because i do take anything but ibuprofen already take many drug s for ptsd did not while pregnant nor aftef due to breastfeeding baby. filed claim with va and ssdi they state if so bad off why do i have custody of my kids nevermind i did not what to take medications out of fear for myself and child.
