I have been prescribed Somac dosage of 40mg daily. I read that it is more efficacious to take 20mg twice a day. Anyone have an opinion on that? Also, is there any problem with splitting a 40mg tab in half and taking the half morning and night? Many thanks.
I'm about to raise my synthroid myself because I can tell that my thyroid is low. I can't wait to see my doctor. Splitting a 100 mcg tablet sevens times is impossible. Would it be safe to take an extra tablet one day per week. I've read a case where someones doctor actually presscribed a higher dose one day a week. But then again some doctors are crazy. How common would it be to do this? Is it effective? Or will my thyroid bounce out of control?
I use to take Levothyroxin 125MCG tab mylan One and One/Half Tablet six days per week and One/Half Tablet one day per week. This was bought at Walmart.
I started to obtain my Medication from the "VA". They sent me Levothyroxine NA ( Synthroid) 0.025MG Tab. Take One/Half once Daily.
What is the differance between 125MCG and 0.025MG ? Will the dosage be correct ?
I have come in contact with Percocet, which contains 2.5MG of Oxy, but then I also see an 80mg Oxy tablet on the market. Is the 80mg a time released version? Can you cut the pill four ways to instead have 4 20mg doses? Can anyone send me to a decent place to learn about Oxy doses?
I was informed by a pharmacist that if a medication tablet does not have a designed split in it, the dosage may possibly not be equally distributed in the tablet therefore when you split it you might not get equal dosage.

My doctor said eventually I will take 300 mg of it, but on the first day, instead of taking 1 tablet, I took 2. The first two nights were ******* hell. Had it not been for my roommate's bipolar medication, I would've died or something. I'm thinking 300 mg is too much for body to handle. So I plan on going back down to what my doc said. Do you know what dosage you are on? Mine is a little white long tablet for 15 mg.. Generic name is Mirtazapine. Is it effective for anxiety and panic attacks ? My psy. said it's not effective for panic attacks and wants to keep me on Klonopin. Did you have to up your dosage in the past two yrs.?

Today I took my 15 month old son to one of his regular checkups. His doctor had noticed some fluid in his left ear and said he had a small infection. I told her he had a cold and some congestion but I didn't know about his ear. She prescribed him Amoxicillin for his ear and told me something about the dosage. All I remember her saying is something about 1 tsp.
5mg (one whole tablet, and 3/4 of another) because I had to increase my dosage several times, and I upped it by 1/4 tablet each time. I didn't quite make it to two tablets before I got to the point where I don't need it, but am basically addicted to it.

A month ago I had my annual blood test and my TSH was 6.49 and I was told to increase my dosage to 125 mcg. I have had a very unusual amount of stress in the past 6 months and am having to commute 2 hours each way to work which I think has not helped at all. After two weeks on the higher dosage I couldn't function properly, 3 days of fogginess and then a very funny spell where I felt very drunk and light headed.
Also note that if you need thyroid medication, the dosage should never be determined based on TSH. Med dosage should be enough to relieve hypo symptoms. Also if you should have to take thyroid med, make sure you delay your morning dose of the med until after the blood draw for thyroid tests, in order to avoid false high results. If found hypothyroid, you should also test for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin and supplement as needed to optimize.
my big concern is would the dose cause hypoglycaemia or any other effects as the dosage will be double the dose hid doctor prescribed? please help me on that, i will be grateful...thank you.
I take propranolol the dosage is up to your doctor it doesn't really make you tired although everyone is different but it doesn't me it's suppose to be for stress and anxiety but I don't think it helps very well you might consider ativan
