hysterectomy and tummy tuck

My OBGYN, who was insulted that I had the tummy tuck done at the same time as his hysterectomy, said it is not from the hysterectomy and that a Tummy Tuck can cause long term pain. Is this true, is there anything I can do?

I have had CTScans and ultrasounds and nothing shows up.)I have lost 20 lbs since the tummy tuck and my waist is bigger than it was before the tummy tuck! I can't wear anything except lose baggy clothing. Anyone else out there that has had this happen? I hope not, I wouldn't wish this on anyone!

unfourtunalty it seems to come with the surgery,,most gain an adverage of 20 lbs in a years time and seem to maintain that, all I can suggest is speak with your Dr about a exercise routine, what diet may work best for your metabolism ( a endocrinologist may be best for this as they can measure all hormones) last resort if you have the money and it really bothers you would be cosmetic surgery such as lipo or a tummy tuck do NOT do this with out several consults and certanity nothing else will

I had a tummy tuck 3 wks ago, and although my incision and navel are dry and well heal, i have a sharp pain in the left side of my incision. It is not a constant pain, but happens when i walk and its very uncomfortable. my apt is dam, cold and humid. my mother says this could be the reason. anything to worry about ? my doctor said to take motrin 600mg.

My best friend had a tummy tuck by a doctor who was horrible a year ago. She has since had repeated issues with her belly button. He left stitches in there and they are slowly but surely trying to make there way out. Her belly button is not very irritated & infected not to mention she is now getting blisters all around her belly button due to all the liquid. She went to the ER because of the pain this is causing her but no doctor will perform surgery on her due to the liability.

i am 4wks. post tummy tuck, my belly button is red, but when i do not wear my binder the reddness gets lighter. it seems like the air from not wearing the binder helps it. i am putting bacitracin on the area. the md said i can leave off the binder for approx. 8hrs., then put it back on. i really do not want to wear the binder anymore. any suggestions will help, thank you. hbrand@ aol.

how much does a tummy tuck cost? can you have one after having 3 c-sections and cut vertical with all 3 of them? I have also had gull blatter surgery and my tubes tied. My last procedure was about 2 years ago. I have bad belly flab from my babies. I have had 4 babies. I have really bad stretch marks too. I am almost 42 years old. I have had 5 children, numerous 'belly button scope' surgeries, an abdominal laparotomy and an abdominal hysterectomy. My highest weight (immediate post pregnancy) was 195 pounds. My lowest weight (after about 10 years) was 112 pounds. I am 5ft 1-1/2in. I had a tummy tuck with liposuction 12 months ago. I am still swollen and sometimes my stomach looks distorted. Hi yes you can kill two birds with one stone your doctor can submit it as a necessary procedure since you have to have the hernia removed any way. I just had a tuck and a hernia removed at the same time and not only did it save me money it saved me time.

I've had a tummy tuck and now I am 7 weeks pregnant and my midwife says that my pregnancy is going to be a little uncomfortable as I get bigger. I know one thing not to gain excessive weight.
