Avatar m tn It's amazing- other than some occasional flare-ups, I haven't had a stone in several years. I am concerned about the long and short term side effects of the hydrochlorothiazide. Outside of having to be conscientious about hydrating and really watching sun exposure, it doesn't bother me to take it daily. However, a nurse recently told me that there is research that shows a link between the hydro. and diabetes, and this causes me great concern since diabetes runs on both sides of my family.
Avatar n tn I was released. I was told I should have no side effects. But now I have bad head aches on my left temple and I get a stabbing pain on my temple and neck, that last that last just several seconds. Also my speach has been effected slightly. Often I will be talking and a word will pop in a sentence where it doesnt belong, and I forget just what I want to say. Could you tell me how long these symptons last?

I have done alot of research on autoimmune diseases and one peace of information i found a very good read was at: http://cinque.getwebspace.com/facts.html Please read and consult these options with a specialist as it may be alot better option for you than medication.
Avatar f tn I still struggle with muscle weakness and the occasional spasm. But for the most part, my levels remain on the low/normal side. I think my last calcium level was 8.3. I currently take 500mg of calcium twice a day, 400 mg of magnesium twice a day, and .025 mcg of rocaltrol (vit.D). I also take 100 of Levoxyl. Good luck in your recovery process. I say process because I don't think we will ever fully recover from this.
148057 tn?1231430591 I did ask if the oral combined with the injection could also have impacted the result he said yes but we needed to discontinue the oral it because of the possible medical side effects. So I will continue to take my self imposed medical regiment consisting of vitamins, ginko bolbla, calcium chews, ginger ect along side my injections. As I have said I don’t know how l long this journey will be, but I know it will lead me to a better place that I was before.
Avatar n tn Looking at the side-effects of Solodyn; joint pain is a side effect. I use Solodyn and take Celebrex for the pain. The Celebrex has helped a lot. Just a thought. I have used Celebrex on and off for 6 years and have no ill effects. It is way better than ibuprofen, Alleve and the like. It doesn't irritate my stomach and does not make you drowsy or anything.
Avatar n tn Not sure if you drink diet coke or not or use an artificial sweetner with aspertame? Apparently, some of the side effects you mentioned are very similar to those of Aspertame users. If this is the case, you may want to explore substituting with a natural sweetner like Honey or Stevia and get off the aspertame....
535089 tn?1400677119 James Woodford, a toxicologist associated with Emory University labs hypothesized the pigment melanin which protects the skin from the sun, approximates the molecular structure of the THC metabolite to cross react on the marijuana urine test. Dark skinned Caucasians such as those from the subcontinent of India could also read positive on marijuana tests. The body eliminates some melanin in a dark person's urine sample. Passive marijuana inhalation.
Avatar n tn The best way to get natural vitamin D is to be under the sun. I am allergic to sun thus cannot be under the sun for too long. Ever since my defficiency i have forced myself to sit under the sun for at least 5 minutes a day. BUT, i still have the pain on the back of my head. I have also noticed losing too much hair. Any time i touch my head i lose hair. Any time i brush my hair i lose even more. If this continues then my weird shape head, the indentation will be more visible.
Avatar n tn So, with the beta blockers - do you still have the rash at all, or is it completely gone?? I have a Drs. Appt in July....
Avatar n tn At present, Percocet 2 350 mg tabs every 6 hours. This was causing side effects, Bad headaches in the morning, plus chills like the flu. Otherwise I might have been able to stand it. The pain was there, just lessened it. Tonight, I tried a Banana and glass of Orange Juice like the Ultra Sound Radiologist told me Pregnant women use when experiencing leg cramps and no percocet tonight and just 2 tylenol and if helps a lot. If it is a Parathyroid needing to be removed.
