Avatar m tn In January my joints began to pop and now 7 and half months later I'm starting to have floaters. I've had a CBC by my pcp and everything came out normal for my joints. No inflammation or pain and I'm still able to trail run 8+ miles with no problems. About two weeks ago (maybe 10 days) i started noticing floaters. I have visited two optometrists. One took care of the eye exam and the second did the dilation since I didn't have time during the initial visit.
Avatar m tn glucosamine, with vitamin c as the two work best together, and hyaluronic acid. some do get better results from chondroitin but it is not necessary, or shark cartilage. fish/flax oil will lube 'em up for you also. froobar, C.N.

Injectables may work slightly better than diet supplements, in moderate-severe cases. It is best advised to consult an orthopedician for an appropriate management plan drafted according to ones clinical assessment. Miraculous results with my 10 year old Golden Retriever. I am also doing Homeotoxicity twice a month. Also, feed raw diet. She is in great shape.
Avatar f tn I also buy the Pedigree dog food which has one where it has glucosamine in it for healthy joints. Ofcourse ask your vet if Glucosamine would be ok for your dog to take because I don't know if hip arthritis and hip dysplasia is the same thing. I hope and pray your baby gets better.

Typically, I need injections every 6 to 8 months. Sometimes sooner and once in a while one or the other thumb will not require treatment for twelve months or longer.

Avatar f tn I understand that hyaluronic acid plays a role in joints and vitrieous humour. Was treated in June for EM Lyme Rash. Re-tested via blood test for thyroid, lyme, lupus -- all negative. Question: What can be done to stop all the cracking, snapping, popping especially in the neck, throat and shoulder? I am very upset. What would you do if you had these perplexing symptoms.

It is Hyaluronic Acid, which comprises the synovial fluid in the joints. This cost me a fortune ($46.99) but I am so desperate for some relief. if it works, I will happily spend that amount each month. Can anyone help me try to figure this out? I had a series of the fluid injections and Iam in pt again, 8 months after surgery. I worked out over a year post surgery to strengthen my knee. Now my bones touch, grind, pop and I have stiffness.pain and walk with an awful limp.

As I state(d) in my initial message, I tried 5 NSAIDs to no avail. What's the best(efficacious) therapy for osteoarthritic inflammation ? Glucosamine/Chondroitin absolutely DOESN'T work !, for the hard tissue, ie cartilage.

I've been getting hyaluronic acid shots in the knee, bec I had a terrible fall in April. ll the pain got much worse. They found severe osteoarthritis, a sprained neck, fractured nose, and I had a torn meniscus in my knee among other injuries. My lower back and muscles are all inflamed. It's so hard to cope. I have doxy 50mg, as I can't tolerate 100mg at once. I'm thinking of giving it a try.
