There are enough other sites and posts of the same complaint and also in the first 6 months on Humira. It was about my 3rd injection I think when I started having tooth pain in my upper front teeth. Within a couple of days, my bottom front teeth stated hurting. I skipped a week of Humira under Dr advice incase I was fighting a sinus infection. Symptoms got better. Then I started back on my Humira last night and my teeth are killing me again.
His symptoms could also be related to other GI issues such as infections etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause suspected/ diagnosed, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.

I have been treated for rheumatoid arthritis with Humira for 7 months including a combination of Humira and methotrexate for the past 2 months. I also take 5mg of prednisone, and 6 Azulfadine tablets each day. I was taking Humira once every fourteen days and I am on 15mg of methotrexate a week. About a month ago, I started experiencing numbness in my toes and feet. I mentioned it to my rheumatologist but she wasn't concerned and simply told me it wasn't rheumatoid arthritis.
In July I did have a fungal infection in my mouth and throat; my doc suspects it was opportunistic and I have been immuno compromised.
We still don't know what the black gunk is that I'm coughing up, and I've had black gunk in my ear too. I tested negative for TB, and and I'm waiting to get a CT scan on my neck (and head) to see what the lump on my larynx is.
Meanwhile I am on an antibiotic to kill this sinus infection.
After several ear drops of various kinds an ENT prescribed nystatin cream rather than drops for a fungal infection that I have had off and on for about a year. Although the cream is awkward to put into ear canal with a Q tip, then have to kind of press down on the ear to get it to go deeper in (ask your doctor regarding this maneuver), it seems to be working. Once I was able to get the cream to go deeper into the canal, the discomfort from the fungi is subsiding.

I've had on-going issues with a irritations and related burning sensations on scrotum, leg creases and anal region since early July. Also a diagnosed/treated e-coli UTI and a 2 weel oral fungal infection treatment. It's been a struggle determining the source and cleaning it up.

Yes fungal infections causing angular cheilitis can cause inflammation and burning and itching at the genitalia also.But for that pls use some antifungal like nystatin, miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine,ketaconazole and clotrimazole.You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral.
If the symptoms persist then STD’s have to be ruled out.
m reluctant to go off the (toxic) meds on the chance that I indeed do have SLE or seronegative RA, but I agree that I should probably get extensive and proper bloodwork and lab tests done to rule out bacterial, viral, and/or fungal infections...regarding the GERD & Barret's, that was dxd when I had an upper endoscopy done, so they know for sure I have Barret's and I was also showing some signs of the GERD by then too (heartburn, etc)...
No, the Humira is an immune modulator which sometimes permits existing infections that many people have to re-occur (relapse) and makes recipients more susceptible to certain infections caused by fungus or to tuberculosis-type bacteria. Theoretically Humira might delay development of antibodies to HIV but there is no data to suggest that it makes persons more susceptible to HIV and there is no theoretical reason that Humira would make p24 antigen harder to detect.

t go beyond any further than a few stubborn patches. Finally I moved to Humira and Oh my my I have a new lease on social interaction. I can now wear my short sleeves in summer. The only thing I have is the old scars which are clearing slowly, but thank God, it does not bother me. There is also a small patch on my legs which is ignoring what ever I trow at it. But yes, Humira saved me as well as psoriatic arthritis that was developing too.
Your antibody tests at 4 and 5 weeks would have detected between 90 and 95% of recent HIV infections and the 4th generation test that you had at 51 days provides definitive results (the 4th generation tests are conclusive 4 weeks following exposure). That you took prednisone the month before your exposure would have no impact on your subsequent test results.
I suspect the symptoms you have described are, at least in part manifestations of the anxiety you are experiencing.
13 years ago I was diagnosed with genital herpes which I contracted from my now ex. I married 8 years ago to a good man with a bad case of Psoriasis. About 6 months ago he was diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis after having his hands and body start crippling his abailities in daily living, and began taking Humira as treatment. Recently he has decided that we can no longer be intimate and we need to separate.
