When I desolve the tablet in a glass of water, and then drink the water the Dextroamphetamine will start to work much faster, and 2-3 times stronger also my pupils will dilate for a while..But when I just take the tablet orally without desolving it into water, it will work but not so strong and also my pupils dont dilate....Does someone know an answer to this?

ve never been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD but about 2 nights ago, my roommate offered me 4 dextroamphetamine pills to help me study for all of my midterms. I took them all, and my heart was beating really fast and my chest felt tight. Those symptoms went away but now I'm noticing that my arms and head feel slightly shaky. Also, I feel like I'm worse at reading and typing. Is it possible to get permanent side effects from one time abuse of adderall?

It works on your CNS and isn't changed by body weight. A 300lb man can need 10mg adderall, while a 102lb scrawny teenager might need 40mg to get the same effect. There is no way to guess. So communicating with the doc is ESSENTIAL in this, because only the patient/parent can tell how well it is working.

Amphetamines may possess serotonergic activity and should not be administered with SSRIs as there is an additive risk of serotonin syndrome. Enhanced sympathomimetic effects is possible.

m on Prestique and went to a psychiatrist to get off of the meds safely because when I have tried to wean off I have bouts of depression. She put me on Depakote 125 mg DR and has said to increase to 250 mg ER- I want off of this stuff!!! I have never had manic episodes and she even said I have depression maybe Mood Disorder after 2 appts.
