Avatar m tn The ultrasound indicated that I was only about 4-5 weeks along so they started monitoring my hormone levels. In the 3 separate days of tests the doctors noticed that my levels were not increasing as they should and informed me that I would more than likely miscarry. The bleeding started two hours after the phone call. About 4 weeks later I returned to my doctor to make sure everything was going ok, as ok as these things can...

1936698 tn?1333915193 I'm confused. My doctor has never told me anything about hormone levels and looking out for them or anything. My friend just had a miscarriage last night at 11 weeks, and I feel terrible for her and I just want to cry because she was so excited. Her hormone level went from 73000 to 1200. How do you tell if your hormones dropped and what is so important about them during pregnancy? I'm 31 weeks along and I am so confused about all of it.
Avatar f tn Hormone levels as in HCG? I'd say no, that's not possible, there is a specific type of blood test (I believe) that you can get done to tell gender, but I don't think insurance covers it, so you'd have had to pay it out of pocket, did you have any issues that would require a specific blood test, or did you request one?
1287560 tn?1272216521 Hello, just wondering if any of you lovely ladies know much about hormone levels, mine have come back but my gp is off till next week-anyway I am 41 years fsh 7.1, LH 1.3 eostrodiol 147, underneath the receptionist said it said "no action required" so I am thinking these must be normal?
Avatar f tn Along with that, have you had your iron levels, estrogen levels, progesterone levels and vitamin D levels tested? Or did the doctor just run a standard panel?
Avatar n tn You’ll need tests like an USG of the uterus and pelvis and possibly an endometrial biopsy along with hormone levels assessment to ascertain the cause of the same. For this please consult a gynecologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Hey, How long does it usually take for the pregnancy hormone to get out of your system after a MC? I called my Ob the other day and she said that as long as I wasn't bleeding then we could start ttc again. So, I was just wondering how long the hormone stays in your system.
Avatar m tn I had an abnormal period about that quality (just spotting and delayed more than usual) before after having been on Microgestin about a couple years. It happens sometimes. If you want to be 100% certain, you could take a pregnancy test, but you should be fine.
Avatar n tn Spotting can seem like a light period sometimes. You need your hormone levels checked. You could be starting early menopause. It happens. You need a doctor. You need tests.
Avatar f tn What are your current thyroid hormone levels? If you have a copy of your latest lab report, please post results and be sure to include reference ranges, as those vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report. Low thyroid hormone levels can cause menstrual cycle to be off, as well. There could be many reasons why conception didn't occur.
Avatar f tn 4) for four days before I got my period (which I thought was strange that I actually got my period since I had been on BC for so long). All was well though except for the burning pin pricks. Then at the end of June (my period was at the beginning), I was sitting at work and started getting severe pressure in my neck. I thought it was a tension headache and ignored it. Three days later, the pressure was so intense and in my entire head that I ended up in the ER. Twice.

Avatar f tn Hi! If you were my patient, I would advise you that if your pregnancy tests are negative you aren't pregnant. You may need to have some hormone tests done, such as prolactin levels--because of the nipple discharge. It isn't uncommon for a period to be late now and then, and that in itself is nothing to be too concerned about. I would suggest waiting to see what the next cycle will be like. If your cycles continue to be unusual, you should definitely contact your doctor. Good luck!
