Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.

So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.

She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.

m watching an episode where this lady has a week old baby boy and her hoarding is so bad there are dead rats everywhere! Like seriously how are these people allowed to take their kids home and keep them!?

I was even watching something yesterday that examines how they can evaluate a bodies time of death, how long it takes for them to decompose in certain situations. For instance, I didn know that in Texas, it takes a body longer to decompose in the sun than in the shade. Yep said it mummifies in the sun! Iknow Iknow! And it takes three days for a body to go to skeletal form. So they wanted to find out how that happened and set up a camera and put a cadaver in the area.

How do you ladies feel about your babies watching TV? I honestly don't like it because he's just so little so I don't like the idea of putting on cartoons for him to keep him entertained, plus my mom always told me 'tv is not a babysitter' My bf on the other hand doesn't mind him watching TV, he says it helps him to see more colors and blah blah, be more open minded but I don't see how. What's all your opinions on the topic?

Her baby's father wasn't even that bad. She was over dramatic. That's how most of them are though. He was at least trying to be there. ..A lot of father's wouldn't have even answered her phone calls.

That's how I go rid if the one whole closet I burnt the stuff while he was gone I don't care any more forget him and his precious memories!!

Lol my daughter watches TV now at almost 5 months! She watches bubble guppies and the Disney Channel shows. It's the only thing that stops her from crying sometimes!!

Hello everybody. I was hoping to get some advice/feedback on a particular topic. My step-daughter has been with me and my husband for 2 days and she's going home today. During the entire time the TV has been on, and she always throws a fit when we turn it off. I am getting concerned for her, because she does look a bit overweight, and has a pretty bad attitude. On top of that, her language skills are low, and most of the time babbles.

I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!

Mike, what does cdu stand for? ( I know, it's probably very obvious but I'm having a moment.) Anyway, I used to watch intervention and the stories always tore me up. Some made me so sad and some made me so mad. I can't watch it now because I don't have TV yet (cable or a dish). I know that must've been a disturbing episode for you but like you said, use it for an incentive. I think our children are one of the best incentives for making us want to get clean.

I believe that only 4-5% of people stay off the drugs. I see how so many have relapsed in here and how many new people appear every week. It is overwhelming to me at times. I agree with Lostmarbles 100% that feeling every ounce of pain mental and physical for 6 months will keep me a clean person off the pills the rest of my life. I will never abuse another drug as long as I live. I never ever want to be that person again.

Jennys Man of the day status (WHICH HAS BEEN TONS OF FUN) has really got me thinking about TV shows and CHARACTERS that I LOVE!! HA! I hate to admit it but ya know the show FRIENDS?? I'm definitely most like PHOEBE personality wise and I love Joey!! The perfect man is a combo of Ross, Joey, and Chandler Bing!! Anyway, WHAT TV SHOWS, & CHARACTERS do you just love or love to hate??? For example I can't stand Janice on friends but she's definitely funny so I Love to hate her! Ha!!

maybe just encouragement or someones elses story on how they got clean and what you do to stay sober....I dont know. Im lookin for anything right now I guess. Thanks everyone.

Hi, I do not have a fibro or CFS dx, but have chronic Lyme which has a good amount of symptom overlap. While undiagnosed, I was treated with meds including Neurontin and Lyrica. I recently saw a new TV commercial for Lyrica. I've never liked these commercials as they seem to minimize the problem and severity of fibro by showing patients resuming active lives thanks to this medication. One I saw in the past depicted a woman working in a bakery.

I watched the show with Dr Zamboni.

Anyone obsessed with a TV show? I have been addicted to the show bones. My bf can't stand the show. He says it makes his stomach hurt cause they r detailed and show all the nasty stuff.....

I remember when I was 7-8 years old, I used to watch my cartoon collection about 4 hours everyday !!! my parents tried to do everything to take it under control, they start send me everywhere, to karate, dancing, swimming, piano lessons, acting lessons, painting, different language courses,etc.
