Are any of you ladies in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area? I don't have any friends around here and was wondering if anyone is around me?
For the second consecutive Thursday, intense rainfall caused combined sanitary and storm sewer overflows in central Milwaukee and eastern Shorewood, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District said.
By 6 p.m., district gauges measured up to 5.1 inches of rain on Milwaukee's north side.

Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.

Overflows of untreated sewage from sanitary sewers to local streams and rivers throughout the Milwaukee metropolitan area began shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday as the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District's deep tunnels filled nearly to capacity, officials said.
Some of the overflow has been backing into the basements of area residents. City of Milwaukee operators have received 133 calls from residents with water backing into their basements by 9 a.m.
So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
I'm 16, and my mom wanted me to do some research on the Pain Clinic at Children's.
I got to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee for neurology and GI. I was treated there for a benign tumor, as well, and I have some residual pain in my arm.
I've heard good things about the Pain Clinic, but I haven't decided if I wanna do that yet... I've looked it up on the CHW website and everything seems like it should work for me.
Emergency departments at Milwaukee-area hospitals have been forced at times over the last 10 days to divert ambulances elsewhere because a surge in patients with flu-like illnesses is approaching the 2009 swine flu pandemic, health officials said Wednesday.
People sick with the flu having been turning up in Milwaukee emergency rooms at three times the usual rate. To help stop epidemics like this, the federal government recommends that people with flu symptoms stay home from work.
