The concern there is toxoplasmosis, which (IF the cat has toxoplasmosis, which most cats don't) can be spread to a human if the human comes into direct contact with the cat's feces (not urine) IF the feces are more than three days old and IF you then manage to get some fecal material into your mouth. (Not very easy to get toxoplasmosis that way, is it?

I am extremely concerned about this. I thoroughly washed my hands after contact but I do have a cut on my hand, but I think I should be fine. Because of this we also had our carpets cleaned.
I wouldnt worry you can only imagine what they walk in on the beach in bare feet, you dont know who did what when etc you get the idea.....you are being a bit paranoid. You cleaned up as best you could and thats good. As long as you rinsed the soap good last thing .....I would hate someone to go washthere face with it...just kidding...

I am not sure, but once it seemed like there was a little bit of something red in her feces. My boyfriend says it is not necessarily blood but it was definitely red and not as stiff as feces. It was more like a liquid. We have given her a little bit of Smecta, but I was not sure how much, so we just gave maybe two tea spoons. She seems much more sluggish and slow. So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
