Avatar n tn I know that stress can cause stomach problems, and since you said you are dealing with some emotional issues right now that could be the root cause. You said you didn't like the drug you took for anxiety/panic attacks, but I think you should try another one. My husband has the same problem and he couldn't stand the first two drugs they tried, but the 3rd one (paxil) worked great.
4614494 tn?1368356385 I could just send them your way when they are done here . . They are going to need a 2 hour special when it comes to my story . . ugh. I just wish I could move my treadmill upstairs then I could pretend it wasn't there - kind of like I did for the past several years before I got clean - I think I forgot I had a basement (among other things . .
1139187 tn?1355706647 If it wasnt for these episodes i could probably get a job and work. I am a manager-level experienced person who sits on the computer all day and reads every post known to mankind. I thought originally this was from taking thyroid but its been 7 weeks now.
Avatar f tn Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
Avatar f tn So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
155701 tn?1230047101 Similarly if anti migraine medicine can abolish both the seizure and headache could be due to same etiology. I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact me for any clarification.
Avatar n tn I am a 51 year old woman who, when in 2nd grade while swinging on the swings, I fell off backwards and was knocked unconscious. I think I came to and proceeded to get on the bus and go home. I then started having these "episodes" where I would loose consciousness, have convulsions, and even loose bowl and bladder. I have gone and had extensive testing because they thought that I had epilepsy.
662972 tn?1270166301 She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.
Avatar n tn Your family doctor might want to check you out just to be on the safe side . In the meantime , it might help you to drink a cup or two of hot tea before bedtime to relax you ; but you shouldn't eat before bedtime . There are all sorts of caffeine-free sleepytime teas or calm teas that might help you . There might be some stress you are feeling from the past or present that could be causing your panic attacks .
Avatar f tn My husband has been having night time episodes for the last 4 months. He is a 25 yoa male. He wakes up feeling like he needs to take a deep breath. He then notices that his heart is pounding out of his chest. I've seen his pulse range from 90-160 during these episodes. His blood pressure also increases ranging from 140/80 to as high as 200/100. He then started having a resting HR and BP that were higher then average. He only has these episodes at night.
Avatar m tn For the last 3 years I have been experiencing what I call "episodes". When these episodes occur, it feels like I'm on a very bad drug trip. When they are severe, I can't function, and I can barely cope with anything. I have had every test imaginable, including CT scans of my brain. I was told everything was normal. The route that I was told to try was a to depressants. So, I was on Effexor, that never quite worked.
1340864 tn?1276051135 I'm Jessica! I'm a college student. I'm having these episodes. I've had seven like this in the past year. I have chest pains, heavy-chested feeling, neck pain, extreme migraines, double vision at times, and dizziness. I had a similar experince 3 years ago. It was a blackout, no hearing, bad heache, and heavy chest feeling but it passed in about 15 minutes. These current episodes can last up to a day now. I'm really worried it's nurological.
Avatar f tn So I have been having somewhat frequent episodes where all the sudden I feel light headed/dizzy/close to blacking out. When it happens I feel like I'm having heart palpitations, & shortness of breath. I talked to my OB about it. When these episodes were first happening, I was standing. He said it could be from blood pooling. Makes sense except the night before my appt I had an episode while sitting down. He said maybe it was my sugar was low. I had just eaten.
Avatar f tn He continued episodes through his life and is now free and clear of it as of the age of 20 . Now his girlfriend has it and has to drop out of college because of it.
Avatar m tn (i am a female) ') i hope that this is nothing too serious as an ovarian disease... i just want it to be a simple thing lol. i have had really bad back and neck problems now that you mention it. i have pretty bad scoliosis and it messes with me daily. not sure if that has any link to it. my guess is that i have Menorrhagia and i become anemic. but you never know with these things especially when its been ongoing for quite some time. i've done alot of research on my part.
Avatar f tn t have tremors like you described but my leg muscles would twitch (not jerk but small twitches) and sometimes it felt like my body was vibrating to the point where I thought we were having an earthquake. These episodes would go away and come back just like you described. This started about 5 yrs ago and then the POTS came about a year ago. I am still trying to find answers because since the POTS, my muscle pain has never gone away.
Avatar f tn 60) and my T4 FREE is 0.99 (range of 0.61-1.12). My Dr said to continue my dosage of medications and we would recheck in a year.
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
Avatar f tn I lived with near weekly episodes of SVT for 54 years before deciding to get it fixed 6 years ago through cardiac ablation. It was a relatively trouble-free outpatient procedure, and I was free of it. 2 hour episodes are painfully long. Have you been taught how to slow the episode back to normal sinus rhythm. I would say that when it begins to interfere and inhibit your lifestyle, it's time to have an electrophysiology procedure to see what's going on and correct it.
Avatar f tn Sun- Wed I have had about 4-6 episodes per day. It’s depressing because I had that week of symptom free. Dr said it’s normal and it’ll get better. Hang tight. I was just wondering yalls experience on this.
Avatar n tn Free T3 is the most important test because it largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions. Free T3 is four times as potent as free T4. Free T3 correlates best with hypo symptoms, so never let a doctor treat you strictly on the basis of TSH. When you get the tests done, ask for a copy of the results and post the actual numbers and reference ranges so that members can provide the best response.
