3828469 tn?1358462325 I'm watching an episode where this lady has a week old baby boy and her hoarding is so bad there are dead rats everywhere! Like seriously how are these people allowed to take their kids home and keep them!?
Avatar n tn I just recently had an ANA test done and it came back to be positive with a 1:1280 ratio. I understand for that to be really high. I have been classified as neutropenic for about two years. My overall white blood cell count range anywhere from 3.8 to as low as 2.4. My doctor seems to be a little worried but my overall health is generally good. I am hardly ever sick or have any oppertunistic infections. On my latest ct scan of my abdomin, my spleen was slightly enlarged.
Avatar m tn did you read the DNA test came back human and opossum? and these men have a shop that sell Bigfoot merchandise...big fat hoax...
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
Avatar f tn No, but being able to smell it that strongly suggests the possibility that there is too much cat and not enough clean. Possible contact with feces, urine, parasites or dirty litter can give a person one or another physical problems. However, secondhand smoke can kill a person, and even the worst of contact with catboxes does not do that.
Avatar f tn I wouldn't let my kids be in a situation like that. It's dangerous. Who knows what they would get into or find in the piles of stuff. My in laws are borderline hoarders and I'm not ok with my kids over at their house without me or my husband.
662972 tn?1270166301 She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.
Avatar f tn I agree with Jaquta, it will be interesting to read the expert's response... where is that fellow.... But seriously, I would have to say that the answer to your question depends on whether or not there is any evidence of mood cycling before this. Your family member might want to read up about cyclothymia and hypomania which are milder forms of mood cycling. If you have access to a library I like the book "Why Am I Still Depressed?
4614494 tn?1368356385 Wow, another day down - you are killin this girl! Does not surprise me a bit with that awesome spirit and great attitude. 2 weeks coming your way - couldn't be happier for you!
Avatar f tn That's how I go rid if the one whole closet I burnt the stuff while he was gone I don't care any more forget him and his precious memories!!
Avatar f tn Is my problem with not being able to get rid of things I don't need or use part of OCD?
Avatar f tn I dont really have any useful input for you in this one except to say maybe take the thing to a wildlife rehab. eventually the opossum will get big and nasty...they have very sharp teeth and can be quite mean! They also can make an evil hisssing noise that will give you the creeps!
Avatar m tn Hi, How are you? Migraine headaches usually present with one-sided throbbing headaches with associated nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to sound and light. There are plenty of medications available for preventive and abortive migraines. Sometimes trial and error is done to determine the suitable medications for each patient. However, rest, ice packs, and avoidance of triggers will help prevent recurrences. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn -) I was not happy with what was not portrayed. They should re-do the episode and do it accurately. After all, the show centers around medical disorders. It is informative if anything. Has the potential to reach many people with information anyway. Take care.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your comment. Yes, actually I was conscious for this episode and with my psychogenic seizures I'm usually unconscious. This seizure lasted about maybe two minutes tops and the last EEG I had was last February.
539750 tn?1226521677 They have been working with someone with Chiari to write the episode which should air on May 5th. The person has said they will keep up posted if the episode date moves. This is very exciting.
Avatar m tn You and the therapist come up with a few ideas. But you also find where the anxiety is coming from. What is kicking it in. What you are thinking as it kicks in. How you react to it. Then, step by step, you try and change these things. All you really need change is one as they all go hand in hand. Not easy at all. But it is worth the fight. To have your life back.
Avatar f tn My husband was misdiagnosed with depression when he is actually bipolar. He didn't tell the doctor that both of his parents are bipolar. The doctor put him on vivance and lexapro.(an antidepressant) a little over three months into the lexapro, he had a full blown manic episode. He quit his job, left me, and refuses to talk to me. When he quit his job he lost his medical insurance, so he has been clear of both medications for a month...
Avatar m tn About 1 year ago I had a priapism episode after a bit of an overdose of Cialis (maybe 40 mg) and alot of alcohol. At the time the Cialis was mostly for reassurance and not that necessary. My guess is that I had an 8 to 10 hour erection that went away on its own without medical intervention. Definitely a strange feeling after that incident for quite awhile... a sensation of slight penis discomfort that I never had before.
Avatar f tn I suspect you are referring to 28 as a low, rather than a high? It's different depending on how the numebr is measured - mg/dl (where 28 is very low) and mmol/L (where 28 is very high). If so.. I've had many different types of reactions to lows over my 37+ years with Type I diabetes. Sleepy is typically seen more with high sugars, but I've experienced it with lows too.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm sorry for what you are going thru...I can relate to all that you're describing. I myself have anxiety and it's been over a year since I've had it, the first few months for me was really bad, I had no appetite to eat, was afraid to be alone, and like you said looked up symptoms and made you scared, I too had those feelings...especially thinking that I was gonna die, but I couldn't let that take over my thoughts even thou it was hard to control...
Avatar n tn I had unprotected oral sex with a random married bi guy, I gave. His status unknown to me. He claimed to be new to this as am I. Anyway he did not ejaculate in my mouth but after he came all over my hand I recklessly got a small bit of semen in my mouth, lips & tongue, could taste it. When I realised, a couple of minutes later a washed my mouth out.
Avatar f tn Hey Everybody, I had a weird thing happen to me today - I am not sure if it is Chiari related or not - so I am wondering if it had happened to any of you. Even if it has, I think I will go see a doctor was well. A week ago I had a massage - my NS approved me getting them, but I am not sure it was a good idea. Since then I have been having more vertigo and blacking out than usual - I'm not sure if it was triggered by the massage or just a natural thing.
Avatar m tn for about the last week i have been getting by on about 2 hrs asleep each night then working a8 hr shift, i really dont feel tired an have tried sevral otc sleep aid to no avail, does this sound like a mania episode starting, i have no idea what might have triggered if it is an how do i stop it already on 100mg of lamictal daily
Avatar f tn While he was in the rehab place, my family and I cleaned his house. It was like an episode of hoarders. We threw away empty gallon bottles of gin, countless bags of cans/bottles of beer and wine. He was in the rehab facility for 4 months. He regained some strength but still wasn’t doing well. When he was discharged, we brought him home with care. We made the decision to put him with hospice and hospice agreed that his medical condition made it probable that he would die within six months.
