I'm watching an episode where this lady has a week old baby boy and her hoarding is so bad there are dead rats everywhere! Like seriously how are these people allowed to take their kids home and keep them!?

We with MS are a captive audience. Cancer treatment is the same. One of my monthly chemo therapies is $30,000. We in the U.S.A. pay more for DMDs than the rest of the world combined. The truth is if you do not try to slow progression the cost of MS is so much higher. To pay for wheel chairs, vans, hospitalizations from relapses, and nursing care is way more expensive. For me not to pay for chemo means death so it is a little clearer.

Our pets were part of our family and we loved them. Missy was simply beautiful and we are her for you if you just want to talk. Carry Missy where no one, not even death can ever take her away...in your heart. Thank you for sharing.

(Re-Posted) Hi. We got the new that our 12yr carin,pom mix missy has ckf levels were high. Bun 146 and creatine at 5.5. Been doing sub q at home 2xday on kd food eating wet and dry mix on epaktin as well. She was great one day then 2wks ago started vomiting and such no eating so we blanded diet and such then finally got blood work to reveal ckf.

I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!

I put this down to alcohol and have reduced my intake to 2 beers a week, 3 months ago I had another episode which lasted 3 days, prior to the episode I had a light meal and two beers, again put it down to the alcohol. Recently I had another episode and this no alcohol, the doctor said it was an infection (heavy cold) that set it off.

It is with a very, very heavy heart that I have to tell you all that our beloved Alex passed away in the early morning of Friday, January 30th. You replied to Missy about now worrying over a short PR interval if she is in normal sinus rhythm. I too have been diagnosed with the same thing after an episode where my heart raced at 175 bpm. This is still there 6 weeks later and I am more than a little concerned. Can you be sure that a short PR interval really is nothing to worry about as It really would make me feel a lot better to know that. I cant get any answers from the doctors.

Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.

Alex, that's not the news any of us want to hear from you - my fingers (and toes!) were crossed that you were getting to springtime as a new woman. Keep focusing on the good, everyone! Alex is our cheerleader and showing us the way.

I agree with Alex. My double vision was specifically internuclear opthalmoplegia and had to do with the brain stem. It was diagnosed by having two eyes that pointed in different directions. The optic neuritis I had (different eye, different episode) was objectively diagnosed by a pale optic disc and a pupil that did bupkis when a light was shone in it. I've never had any evoked potentials. I actually had to google was EP was.

As far as itching, lotions, potions and creams were of no use to me. When they put me on Tegretol for the the TN, the itching stopped. So antiseizure (membrane stabilizers) seem to stop the itch.

So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.

I just wanted to give Missy a round of applause for making it through 4 days. You are now working on Day 5! Yippee! Good Job, I am not that far behind you.
