I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
ve been having increasingly frequent sharp, stabbing pain under my fingernail on my left index finger. It makes me wince every time. I also have a strange, semi-numb feeling on the palm side of that same fingertip. The fingernail looks nice and healthy. I've had a digital mucous cyst on my right index finger (which was removed surgically but is back almost as big). Both of these fingers have large bumps or swellings on them at the joint closest to the fingernail.
On the same trip to the dermatologist I also burned off a regular wart I had on my index finger it bubbled up and burst the day before my exposure leaving the empty skin with a small opening. While the girl was giving me oral she avoided the scabs since they're midway up the shaft but I fingered her with my index finger and realized later that the burn bubble had a 5x2mm opening in it. There wasn't blood inside but it was still oozing liquid.
The ulcers (2 close to each other) developed inside my cheek and I thought it was a canker sore which once in a while I can get but after this first episode I had one more episode (two weeks later) with small ulcer in the hard part of the gum and another in the back roof of the mouth. Both instances were relatively mild and healed in about a week. I am now very concerned about potentially passing this to my family members by kissing them in the cheek...
I agree with Jaquta, it will be interesting to read the expert's response... where is that fellow....
But seriously, I would have to say that the answer to your question depends on whether or not there is any evidence of mood cycling before this.
Your family member might want to read up about cyclothymia and hypomania which are milder forms of mood cycling. If you have access to a library I like the book "Why Am I Still Depressed?
Hi, back in February of 2010, I had a random STD test and was tested positive for herpes 2 by labcorp with an index value of 2.6. My herpes 1 test was negative. I was totally surprised by this result seeing that I never noticed any symptoms of herpes. My only sexual encounter was back in January of 2009 where I had a relationship with a woman for about a month. During that month, we had 4 or 5 episode of unprotected insertive vaginal sex.
But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.
there has not been any clusters or lesions on my hands just my index and pinky have been hurting and itching in particular spot. it does come and go but i do cover it just to be safe even though nothing appears. im afraid it may be under the skin and i dont want to infect anyone else. my test was done with igg specific and came back as a 5.
Ok so today I have noticed when I woke up about an hour or so later my right index finger was swelling, not a lot but it was slightly pink and big and kinda burned. Anyways it freaked me it and eventually it went away but then several hours later, right now which is nighttime I noticed my left index finger started feeling the same way and surely enough it's slightly swollen barely noticeable but still noticeable.
Anyone know what this could be?

After around 20 days, I developed a small genital wart on my pence. I immediately went to a dermatologist / STD specialist and told him the entire episode correctly. He told me that it was an HPV virus and the immune system of the body will eventually clear it with passage of time. For the wart I was advised to apply a topical cram "Imiquimod" every alternate day. I was also asked to get a VDRL test. My VDRL test came "Non Reactive" after 21 days of the exposure.
I've had issues since 2002. The worst being an episode I had last April with my entire left side going numb, w/ataxia. It took 3 months for me to recover from that, but things are still not back to normal. I live with daily tingling, creepy crawly sensations in my legs and arms. I sometimes have shakey weak hands, and this heavy sensation that goes up into my chest muscles. My neck also has alot of spasms. Along with that I experience problems with my vision.
12, post 8 weeks the test result shows Non reactive with index value of 0.19. I am unable to understand how the index value is increased and what does it mean.. I got the the tests done from the same lab.

We have heard of a few other situations like this with small children, and I know it must be terrifying for the parents. From what I have read about hypoglycemia, different people seem to have different types of hypoglycemia, meaning that different things bring on episodes. For some people, hypoglycemia happens if they don't eat enough carbs at one meal or if they skip a meal.
