Brown rice powder isn't one of them -- brown rice protein is, but that's protein isolated from brown rice, whereas hemp powder is just powdered hemp, which as a seed will have some protein but is mostly nutritious for its omega 3 fatty acids. But all nuts are high in protein, as are all beans.

But know that not everyone is equipped to do well as a vegetarian -- most vegetarians do it for ideological reasons and it is harder to get all your nutrients as a vegetarian, particularly methionine and B12, so you do have to learn how to do it well.

Seeds -- hemp seeds most complete vegetable protein, even more complete than soy. Whole grain pasta -- you can get it made out of brown rice, spelt, kamut, amaranth, even with protein added from legumes. There's a world of food out there.

The majority of their recipes are vegetarian, but if you take it one step further and go for the vegan recipes, you'll be able to avoid the dairy and the eggs. Or, look at the vegetarian recipes that call for milk and substitute with the rice milk. I would suggest going easy on the eggs, eventhough they're not actually dairy. Your daughter isn't allergic to them, because eggs aren't from lactating mammals.

When I told my doctor about them he was shocked. Walmart and Kroger both have sections for people like us. Morning star is a great brand. They have burgers, breakfast items, porkless bbq, chicken patties, etc.. all are made out of 100% veggie protein and many have more protein in them than meat.

As a vegan you need to combine grains and nuts / seeds for essential protein have to be used daily such as rice and beans, pasta and beans, nuts to oatmeal, peanut butter and bread, and salad and nuts. You can also eat the soy milk and rice milk, too. Vitamin B12 needs to be supplemented if you are a vegan vegetarian.

Tbd Are you vegetarian for any personal reason? Would you consider including other protein sources such as those from whey protein, or eggs? Maybe you could also look into a protein supplement to include with your regular meal, in a shake for example. Fruits are high in sugar. I would be looking into eating a low carb and/or ketogenic diet. It is possible to do this even if you are vegetarian, but will need quite a lot of work on food preparations and research.

Avatar f tn Do an Internet search for high protein vegetarian meals. I couldn't eat meat for awhile and found some really yummy options, like cheese lasagna or a bean and cheese quesadilla. Quinoa is also a really high protein grain.
