Again symptoms include sharp and burning pain in the shoulder sometimes continuing down to my thumb, pain/burning/ along back/side of neck and down to shoulder. Pain down to armpit and sometimes continuing down the inside of my arm to my pinky and ring finger. The pain to my armpit can be duplicated easily by tilting my head toward my shoulder and then back. The same can be done to the other shoulder, but not as strongly or easily as the first shoulder.
Started off as a knot on the back of my head right where necks start on the bottom of head.. then I noticed I had a tiny knot in my neck. Did some research and cancer started to pop up on the Internet.. I freaked out and anxiety went into overdrive.. doctor examined me and thought it was due to allergies.. got cat scan and the side with knot the lymph nodes and glands was bigger but they said they didn’t see anything wrong ..
Then after few days it started to heal but the acid appears to reach the glanas (penile head) so it became dry and by time it changed and has wrinkled. What worries me is that I noticed some reddish discoloration from time to time on my penile head and it a bit changed from the way it used to look before! Should I be considered this warning sign? Please help me with this because it is getting me frustrated. P.
There are many different tests available to try to identify cancer recurrences in the neck and elsewhere in the body such as lung or bone. One of the best and still least expensive tests is a careful physical examination by a practitioner skilled in thyroid disease. Because papillary thyroid cancer tends to spread to lymph nodes in the neck rather than other far away areas such as lung or bone, a careful physical examination can easily detect a recurrence in a neck lymph node(s).
The dry patches on my hands are located between the thumb and the index finger and it feels dry ,rough,Itchy and on some occasion it burns and then once it feels burn the area that is burning Turns red. The same Applies to the neck but the neck does not bother as much as the ones on my hands But instead the neck looks purple ish but it looks similar to a hickey but it feel dry and is very wide ..

I have a hard, non-tender lump on the right side of the back of my head down towards my neck. I noticed it in undergrad (4 years ago) and they took blood work. The NP said that my white count (i think) was slightly elevated, and that i probably had a virus lingering around, which would explain the swollen lymph node on the back of my head. It has never gone away. It has been there at least 4 years now. I have lately been SUPER fatigued.
Whereas in the past, the “face” of head and neck cancer was a man in his 60s with a history of heavy smoking and alcohol consumption, the men diagnosed with HPV oropharyngeal cancer do not smoke heavily and may still be in their 50s or younger, although older men are also affected.
Dr. Wirth explains that HPV cancers show a specific pattern as to where they arise.

The general term used for babies who can not hold their head up well is head lag. At birth, all babies have head lag. Some control over head movement is reached by 8 weeks so that head lag lessens. By the age of 4-6 months, most babies should be able to hold their head up when pulled by their arms to a seated position. However, there is of course some variation between infants, and some may hold their head up earlier and some a little later.

Has anyone ever heard of breast cancer (IBC or other) spreading up the neck to cause neck, ear, and head pain on that side? I have a swollen axillary node and pain in my breast and up my neck to my ear and head and nobody can figure it out, even breast specialists. Does this sound famiiar to anyone?

My mother has a squamous cell cancer in her right external ear. Can you please read the scan and let me know if she has anything else than in her right ear? The doctors said there is nothing that is spread other than on the right ear.

I was prescribed anti-depressents which calmed me but the headaches continued. I was then sent for a MRI head and neck scan without dye which came back clear. I have also had a ct scan of bowel and several other tests which again have been ok. I am now feeling sick but my GP will not send me for any more tests. I have a fear of cancer after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer ten years ago which turned out to be a complete mistake.
Lymph nodes enlarge when there is an infection. The head and neck area have an extensive network of lymph nodes. These lymph nodes function like a filter, and thus increase in size in the presence of infection to filter out organisms. Even with treatment, some lymph nodes remain enlarged. A recurrent infection would further increase the size of the lymph node.
However, there are other conditions that can present with lymph node enlargement. Head and neck malignancy is an example.
You raise a great question, but the jury is still out on this issue. The effects of cellphone radiation on head and neck tumors has not been shown but also not been extensively studied."
to my follow up question re 'can we test for this' and could there be a relation to the head jerking, he said:
"There's no way to test for this, and I certainly don't think it has any relation to your head jerking."
how would you feel?
When I get the bobble head going on it feels like it originates in my neck. And my neck hurts pretty badly when it is happening. I try to hold the back of my neck pretty hard due to the pain. Sometimes this helps, sometimes it doesnt. I seem to get it when I am flaring the most.

I noticed these red spots on my scalp today, they are pretty bright red with darker edges. I looked up and looked at pictures of ringworm and squamous and basal skin cancer and mine seem to be redder than those. Could you have a look and give me your opinion please? I'm very grateful. Thank you.
