Avatar f tn I'm 24, and I've never had any issues with my periods always on time never missed them. Up until few months/ almost a year ago. I've started having my periods delayed a lot say almost 2 weeks or so away from the date. I'm a bit confused for what might be the reason. The only thing different is that I'm sexually active with my boyfriend. But we use protective measures everytime. I'm not on any contraceptive pills or anything like that.

HOWEVER, WITH IN THE LAST 11 MONTHS HAVE LOST 40 POUNDS (SIZE 8 TO A SIZE 2) W\O TRYING. I WEIGH LESS TODAY THAN I DID IN 5TH GRADE, I DONT LOSE WEIGHT (I HAVE PCOS). AND I MADE THE COMMENT WHEN I STARTED DROPPING WEIGHT IT MUST BE BECAUSE THE DIARREAH. WELL, FEB.
Avatar f tn I have the same problems that you do or did with my cycle. I’ve been ignoring my abnormal cycle for a year already. I was just thinking that my body was starting to go through the change & it was like a Big Bang period blowout. But it still hasn’t stopped flowing. I will wake up drenched & my bed & bedding ruined every month atleast once. (My bed is peroxide drunk & I don’t think my bed can handle anymore peroxide.
Avatar f tn s always a possibility but generally the best chance is two weeks before the start of your next period. So roughly in the middle. Most women ovulate 14 days before the start of their period. Sperm can hang around for a few days though and the egg takes a few days to journey through the tubes. So a week either side of ovulation is also a good time, or bad time depending on whether you are trying for a baby or not.
1721912 tn?1309394544 You have to see an OB every month from about 8 weeks through the 2nd trimester and then every two weeks for a month and then every week until you deliver (add that up, its a lot). Then when I deliver, for a normal, uncomplicated vaginal delivery my OB charges about $4200 which doesn't include the hospital charges. That is just BEFORE the baby is born. Expect to pony up an additional $10,000-12,000 in the first year and a total of $286,000+ to raise a child to age 18.
Avatar n tn Thanks, that what i was thinking that it is FIBROID, two years ago they told me that my FIBROID was a size of a penny. at this moment i don't have any Health Insurance, and only help i can get is at Holy Cross Hospital, September 20, Do you have any Advise were i can go for early treatment?
Avatar f tn No i havn't taken a pregnancy test i was thinking i should but i've read implantation only last's a couple days and i've had this for aleast four days darkish and lightish. I've been on it for about 2 years now and never had anything like this and i've missed some pills in the past and still never had a weird cycle.
Avatar f tn You may be having a long cycle resulting in a later period and this is spotting beforehand. That has happened to me. While pregnancy 'could' happen, it is less likely in the mid to late 40's. Have you had a pelvic exam any time recently?
Avatar n tn I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out.
Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage back in 2011. I had to keep getting my blood treated every week after because to see if my pregnancy hormones went away. Every since then i have been having irregular cycles. Now in 2013, it has been 3 or 4 months since I had my period. When I went to my doctors appointment last week they ran a pregnancy test and it came out to be negative. But this past week I have been spotting and when I take a shower small little blood clots come out.
1147609 tn?1263583431 My menstrual cycle was 25 days two months ago and 23 days this cycle. Now here's the background: I've always have perfect 28-day cycles. I could even judge with quite a bit of accuracy whether they would begin in the morning or in the evening. After a second trimester miscarriage three years ago, they went back to normal in two cycles. After the birth of my son (and while breastfeeding) they went back to normal in two months.
Avatar n tn last month i was a week late and this month i am two weeks late. should i see a dr or is it possible that hormones are causing the delay in menstrual cycle?
1580452 tn?1296439703 d probably still have break-through bleeding for the first few cycles, she was pretty sure that using Nuvaring would regulate my cycle back to something reasonable, like, having one period a month instead of one period every two weeks. But I still have a lot of bleeding (more than spotting; enough that I need to wear a pad and not just a panty-liner) every two weeks, though it's not as heavy as a real period, and I still have cramps!
Avatar f tn This month, I was actually already thinking of taking a pregnancy test but then it came today and I was a bit disappointed to see it. I just want to know does having sex delays or disrupt your menstrual cycle? It has happened to me three month now ever since I had sex. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I just found out I have a submucosal fibroid. I was bleeding for a week and having mild to severe cramping for three straight weeks. I was feeling fatigued and suffering from severe mood swings and breast tenderness(I thought I was pregnant.) I was having all of these symptoms and my fibroid is smaller than a walnut.
Avatar n tn I was wondering why I get so sick with my menstrual cycle, the first two days are the worst, I feel like I'm gone to pass out. Is there any I can take to prevent these sickness.
Avatar f tn m 29 weeks but I have spotted during those weeks in the past.
Avatar f tn About two months ago, it got so bad, I had to buy a suppository laxative... It helps a lot, but it still is a pain. I also get diarrhea a couple of days later, but it's not as painful or as bad as the constipation. Outside of these times, I usually can go every day or every two days. I eat foods with lots of fiber, changing my diet, and I can never predict when this will happen.
Avatar f tn I'm 52 and thought I might be entering the stages of menopause when I recently begin to experience extremely heavy periods although I haven't started having the ususal symptons, hot flashes, night sweats, etc. I went to my Dr. who tested my hormone levels which were all normal. That was two months ago and I'm still having very heavy periods for weeks at the time that will stop for maybe a week or so and then begin again. Any thoughts?
Avatar n tn She looks like she is having the first menstrual symptoms. Her private part is swellign and have like blood drops. What should I do. He is playign with her parts. What will be the best thing to do? Do I separate them? Please help .
Avatar n tn Every month when I come on my cycle I seem to catch a cold. Is there really a link? What can I do to try to head it off before I get sick? Is this normal or do I have an immune system issue?
Avatar f tn re mostly trying to have a child. Also, this sounds like something a little more serious than just regular cycle pains, my aunts and my mother have fibroids and maybe you're experiencing this, if so it's no big deal (I believe...at least it wasn't for them) after they saw their doctors the were each given different directions to assist with this, some surgery, so medicines, some wait and see methods.
Avatar n tn You ovulate around mid cycle and then you get your period around 2 weeks AFTER ovulation. So you need to be having sex around mid cycle, i.e. ovulation. There are many ways you can test for ovulation, but using OPKs are the most accurate way. If you don't want to use them, then just start having sex every other day (not every day) from around cycle day9/10 onwards until your almost due your period - that should cover all your bases.
Avatar f tn A woman typically ovulates about midway through the cycle. Therefore in a 28 day cycle a woman will ovulate ~day 14. Since your cycle is longer you will probably ovulate around day 17 or 18. To help detect when you ovulate you can try a number of techniques. Two relatively easy ways are to track your basal body temperature, or use an ovulation (or LH) detector kit. Once you have an idea of when you are ovulating you can then time intercourse accordingly.
Avatar f tn Not only that but it typically takes the body an inordinate amount of time to recover after being on it so getting a normal menstrual cycle back after multiple rounds of shots is rare. I'd say it's pretty much to be expected that you'd have issues with your cycle after getting two shots.
Avatar m tn It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle. Intercourse on the third day of menstrual cycle will not result in pregnancy. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
937837 tn?1285350385 I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Before my cycles were 37, 49, 34, stopped taking birth control in mid October. Was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for a women with hypothyroidism?
