Howdy, I've been dealing with major back and neck pain for the last week. Yesterday around 11a, I took a 5mg Flexeril and boy did it do wonders. After a brief nap, most of my pain greatly subsided. The following hours, about 10p, I did see an uptick in stiffness but nothing compared to the pain before the Flexeril. I know Flexeril has an unusually long half-life, about 18 hrs.

If this isn’t the case then the Azithromycin did not in fact eradicate the infection and, as you suggest the doctor may want to use a different antibiotic like Doxy. I would suggest that you keep a journal, drink plenty of water, jot down these questions and others you think of and show up to your next appointment prepared to get answers.
