I just received my chlamydia treatment in the form of 4 tablets to be taken in one dose of Azithromycin. I starting menstruating today and I didnt know if there would be any reason this would affect the effectiveness of the drug. Also my partner was just treated yesterday...How long before we can resume having sex?

I was diagnosed with Chlamydia about a week ago. They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once. I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick. The stomach pain lasted the rest of the day. It's been about 3 days now since I have taken it, but I still have that "burning" sensation after I urinate.
I went to a urologist and was given an immediate shot for gonorrhea and 1g (2x 500mg) azithromycin initially, with an additional 500mg to be continued each day for 3 days. Given my activity and symptoms it was pretty obvious what it was. The only thing lacking was a discharge.
After day 3, the painful urination did not subside at all. I found this very strange since last time I got the gonorrhea shot the painful urination stopped the exact same day.
Needless to say i go to the doctors and they tell me i have chlamydia so they prescribe me azithromycin 1g, pill form. Took that, made my symptoms worse. I now am having discharge and still tingling on the tip of my penis. I have to go to urinate all the time and it feels as though I am leaking. I go back to the doctors and they tell me my insurance doesn't cover doxycycline so they prescribe me another gram of azithromycin. This time in powdered form. I take that and nothing.
When will her symptoms disappear? The internet says a week, but the half life of azithromycin is 11 to 14 hours. That would suggest that this medicine is not present after three days. So why wait longer?

I was wondering if for some reason the treatment did not clear me up and I have been infected this whole time? Or is this a result of condom irritation? I have just finish the treatment for gonorrhea after finishing the prescribed 5 day dosage of azithromycin. After further reading on azithromycin in the internet, I stumbled upon some people saying including in this forums that taking azithromycin can affect the vdrl for syphilis. I'm starting to get worried. I didn't notice any symptoms of syphilis on me at all. So is it possible that azithromycin can affect the vdrl for syphilis?

I have been taking Azithromycin for 4 days. I have gotten worse. Still have fever and have developed nasal congestion with yellow discharge. ENT gave me Spectracef. I read that Spectracef does not treat mychoplasma. So, is there an antibiotic that would treat both mychoplasma AND sinusitis incase I have one or both?

Saturday i went to the doctor because i woke up and it hurt to swallow and talk the doctor gave me azithromycin and guaifenesin. i took the first 2 pills of the azithromycin and i was fine the next day i took the next one and later that day i got really itchy. well i stopped taking them and started taking benadryl cause i figured i got an allergic reaction to it.

Unfortunately from a bad reaction I had to a medicine years ago, I have a phobia of tablets, so I crushed the azithromycin, mixed it with water, waited for it to dissolve (about 2 hours), and drank it (very foul bitter taste).
After 3 weeks, my chlamydia is back, exactly the same stomach cramps, and discharge (I'm female).
We we both prescribed 1000mg of azithromycin, 4 bills at 250mg. After 7 days of taking the medication we engaged in protected vaginal sex (condom). About 2 weeks later we performed unprotected oral sex (both of us giving and receiving) and continued with protected vaginal sex.
4 weeks after taking azithromycin I got re-tested for chlamydia which my results came back as negative. Her's came back as positive.
How common is it for 1000mg azithromycin not to be effective for clamydia?
I should also note i'm not sexually active.
Ok so i was treated for Chlamydia [havent got results back yet] with the 4 pink pills called Azithromycin [one time dosage]. My symptoms were itchy penis and i had discharge coming from my penis. I was treated for Chlamydia and my symptoms pretty much went away i still have very mild discharge [only in the moring] its been almost a week since i was treated, is this normal? should it be complety gone already?
I took azithromycin single dose of 1g yesterday for diagnosed Chlamydia. Would it hurt me to take a 2g does the following day to cover the possibility of gonnorhea? It wasnt diagnosed but since I have the medicine here, I wanted to take it to really cover my bases but didnt want to overdose or anything. I wish I would have just taken a single 2g dose the first day.
