The boy, Craig Loughrey, was settling into his safety seat in the back of his father’s car when the gun accidentally went off and pierced his chest, reports the Associated Press. The boy died at the scene. Joseph Loughrey, 44, had gone to the gun store to sell a rifle and his 9mm handgun but the owner wasn’t interested, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

My Jack Russell, Eddie has had a snotty, not runny, nose for nearly 3 years following a bout of bronchitis. This is both nostrils equally. Thick, ranging from green to clear. Sneezing snot, reverse sneezing and obvious post-nasal drip due to the hocking and gagging and lots of other unpleasant trying to breathe noises that keep everyone up all night. We have been to three veterinarians. After suggestions of "only" $1800.00 for a rhinoscopy and an unnecessary dental.
On top of that although he is very bright student he was crying today and said mom , in my imaginaion I was shooting you with a gun .This is the first time ever he talked like that, We never ever have a gun or any weapon in our house ,when I had a talk with him , he seemed ok and happy after talking. please help , how serious is this. what should I do?????
I work in occupational safety and health field. There was a question about firing practice at gun ranges during pregnancy last week. I posted some recommendations to prevent lead exposure to pregnant mom's and fetus.
Based on an article in Seattle Times, October 19, 2014 "Loaded With Lead" I personally will no longer be visiting a firing range during pregnancy, and hope other pregnant mom's will do the same.
Children in general are more susceptible to lead posioning.

15pm Hubby decided to go toToysRus to pick a few things up for the kids for Christmas. I stayed home with the kids while he went to go shopping. After Barry left I went and spent a few minutes in the bathroom(TMI sorry lol) and afterwards went on our back deck which is covered and lit with our flood light. Took me about 5-6 minutes to smoke a whole ciggarette. During this time I didn't hear or see anything out of the ordinary. We have a pretty wooded backyard.
