What other conditions can this trend be seen in? Can glucose values still be on the rise up to 2hrs in non-diabetic individuals? Previously, I came across a glucose tolerance graph illustrating glucose values (mg/dL) plotted against time (in minutes)for several conditions. Most of these graphs depict a glucose peak value at 30 to 60 minutes with a decrease in values when approaching 90 to 120 minutes.

I have a glucose tolerance test tomorrow & I have not been given any information on or about it. My mum has rang my GP surgery this morning for info and they have told her that i can't have a cigarette after 10pm tonight until I have had my 2nd blood test... is this right? 1 hr test is not so bad, they take blood then you drink the glucose drink and then in an hr one more blood draw! I failed my 1 hr so had to do the 3 hr, and that one it is hard!!

So I did my 1 hour glucose tolerance last week and got my results today. Kinda upset...they came back abnormal. They like for the glucose to be under 140 and mine was 164. All that it says on the letter ive got from the hospital is that its 3 hour and I have to starve myself and only drink water from 11 oclock the night before.

If you fail the glucose test means you have gestational diabetes thats what the glucose test is for

Your doctor should be checking your urine for glucose every time your seen. Also, you should be having a 1 hour glucose tolerance test. If you are within normal limits you won't have to do the three hour glucose tolerance test.

Hey! 29wks and ftm. Just checked in for my GTT test, had my blood taken and the glucose drink (surprisingly nice) now gotta wait 2hours without leaving the ward ?!

Did anyone else feel really drained after having a glucose tolerance test? I had one before and this one now 2 weeks later and I feel really drained.
