Try not to eat nothing too sweet the day before.. the day before my 1 hour glucouse i ate 1 cinnabon and a caramel frappuccino from starbucks and i failed my test so i had to go back again and do the 3 hour glucose you get blood drawn 4 times in 3 hours and you need to stay there the whole time also you cant drink or eat anything for 8 hours before and then the 3 hours for the test not even water..

I found out today I failed my glucose test. I have to go for the 3 hour test know. Im so sad about failing. I was really hoping to pass.

I wonder why the doctor dont start to treat me for high glucose , instead I have to do this over and over again.... I am so tired of fasting and doing this test.... anyone in a similar situation?

You cannot give yourself GD by eating sweets however you could have had a higher level of glucose in your body becuase of the eating sweets. I've done that and failed the 1 hour glucose test with all but 1 of my pregnancies. Lay off the sweets for several days before your next test. Then see what it shows. I have always passed my 3 hr, I just really have to watch my sugar intake in the days leading up. Give it several days beforehand, not just one or two.

I had a glucose tolerance test and an insulin fasting (drinking the glucose drink) blood test done. I have seen my results but have not had them interpreted for me. My glucose fasting results came back within normal range but my insulin fasting results came back out of range for the 0,1, & 2 hour results. They were much higher than the normal ranges.
