Glucose carrier kidney

Common Questions and Answers about Glucose carrier kidney

glucose

Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with a 2mm kidney stone. They did lab work and a urinalysis. My glucose came back at 126. I’m not diabetic and I actually test my blood sugar at home and am usually in the 86-93 range fasting. My urine was negative for glucose. I’m 5’7 195. Clinically I’m overweight but I am a weightlifter so I do have a lot of muscle. Can a kidney stone raise glucose levels. I checked again this morning and it was 112 which it’s never been that high.
Avatar f tn Got the result Thursday (BUN r42, Glucose 559, Creattinkine 2.0, A ST 69, ALP 620, WBC 31.3, Neutrophils 26.85, Monoccytes 1.9, Platelets 529, Cholesterol 345, Creatine Kinase 397, IDEXX SDMA 19). IVF of Lactated Ringers on D5W given at 30 ml/hr (Milo 's wt. 28 lbs.), 4 units of Insulin and Vitamin. B12 complex given. Glucose down to 144, pee a lot that night. Friday , Milo refused to walk far, started to notice weakness to his back legs.
Avatar m tn What was your fasting Glucose? Normal range is 65-99 and did they do a ALT and a AST which is your liver? If that was normal great. My mom has fasted several times with a fasting blood sugar of 102 for yrs but the Dr wasn't worried about it. She still is NOT Diabetic and is 80.. When I got tested my Fasting Blood Sugar was 600 OMG...Ended up in the Hospital for fluids then they started me on Insulin.
Avatar n tn First off, congrats on stopping the beer guzzling and I'm glad you posted. Your glucose levels indicate you are pre-diabetic. If your fasting glucose level is 100 to 125 mg/dL, you have a form of pre-diabetes called impaired fasting glucose (IFG), meaning that you are more likely to develop type 2 diabetes but do not have it yet. A level of 126 mg/dL or above means that you have diabetes.
Avatar f tn TIRED ALL THE TIME HAD 2 MRI SCANS FOUND BLOOD CLOTS AND LESIONS BUT SAY NOT TOO WORRYING..SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS....CK LEVELS WERE LOW BUT NOW BORDERING NORMAL..GLUCOSE IS HIGH...HAVE HAD A LOT OF KIDNEY INFECTIONS......DO YOU THINK THIS IS MS.....
Avatar f tn I never had hcg levels done... I got tested for syphilis, HIV, hep B, hep C, carrier status for cystic fibrosis, SPA, and one other thing I can't remember, my blood type and rH factor, immunity to measles, rubella, parvovirus, and chickenpox as well as my oral glucose tolerance test.
Avatar m tn Kidney failure has been associated with uncontrolled and badly managed glucose levels. It would benefit you the most if you lowered your glucose levels to normal values. Your current glucose daily average - based upon your A1c 9.9% - is between 11.8-13.3 mmol/l [212-240 mg/dl]. HIGH. Foods? Look at diabetic nutrition and perform daily physical exercises. See this link, especially the paragraph on GFR http://www.kidney.org/kidneydisease/ckd/knowGFR.
Avatar n tn i want to make a question about the fuction of the kidney,i know that the kidney is made of many nephron, but i dont know what is its funtion.
Avatar f tn Get an A1c test to verify your glucose levels. This is another blood glucose test. Your fasting test results do indicate diabetes. Although this may be associated with your PCOS I'd wait for the liver/kidney/hormonal tests results. I think your doctor is on the right track in determining what is causing your issues.
Avatar f tn i am female, 62 yrs old, my glucose is 122, my cretinine is 1.7, my bun is normal, i just found out, i take meds for hypertension & glucose. how can i reduce glucose & cretinine & is 1.7 cretinine dangerous ?
Avatar n tn all I can find is 1) uncontrolled diabetes... not it. 2) pregnancy... nope. 3) meningitis... no fever! 4) kidney disease or damage... my kidney function test came back normal. 5) tumors... I go backk in Tuesday to recheck my urine glucose and we will go from there... probably will move onto ultrasounds. If I find out anything else I will let you know. Please do the same... Sorry I couldnt be of more help.
188761 tn?1584567620 I have already consulted my primary care about this today about 3 hours back and he has recommended a urine sugar test as the glucose level in her blood is not very high but pretty much in control. However, slightly above the diabetes benchmark. But, the glucose level in her urine is high and it shows some thing like "++++" on her reports. I am very concerned if it has some thing to do with the end stage renal disease / Kidney failure. My question to you is - 1.
Avatar f tn Cr exceeds 20, this is predictive of prerenal injury (kidney disease caused by change in the blood supply to the kidney). Kidney disease or blockage of the flow of urine from your kidney causes both BUN and creatinine levels to rise. The stages of CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) are mainly based on measured or estimated GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate). There are five stages but kidney function is normal in Stage 1, and minimally reduced in Stage 2.
592256 tn?1353249474 Hi, every time I see the doctor or nurse they keep on at me to lose weight, I do all the right things but I cannot lose any, so I decided to stop my insulin 2 months ago and I have lost 20 pounds, thats great and I feel much better but now my blood glucose ranges from 13mmol(234mg/dl) in the morning to 25.5mmol(459mg/dl) at bed time. I dont feel ill or anything in fact I feel better, just thirsty. I dont know which is more serious to be over weight or have these high glucose levels.
Avatar f tn Have you seen a Nephralogist to rule kidney issues or renal pathway infection? Try posting on the Kidney Disease & Disorders & Nutrition forums. Not much more I can help you with since your concern doesn't appear to be about diabetes. Good luck.
Avatar n tn About a year and a half a year ago, I was diagnosed with impaired glucose fasting, fasting glucose level was 119. At that time I was complaining of constant thirst, frequent urination, and sometimes night sweats, and slow healing. 6 month follow-up (one year ago) the fasting glucose level was 113. A1C was 6.0 I have been modifiying diet, exercising frequently and have lost approx 10-12 lbs.
Avatar f tn I have ADD and so worried as well my doctor made it seem like whatever and I been crying all day. Both my parents are Diabetics but there's really not a big reason I should be it. Urinanalysis: Specific gravity 1.
Avatar n tn So ive been experiencing kidney stones. I had done at 19 weeks passed one now at 27 weeks I have more. They also told me besides the blood in my urine I have too much protein. Not really sure what this means, they are checking for infections but im still waiting on results. I go in for my glucose test and an ultra sound on my kidneys on Thursday. Anyone else experience any of this?
Avatar f tn I went to my doc and she gave me Cipro for about 7 days redid uti test and my blood pressure was 107/70 and the glucose from the previous test showed glucose levels were in the "normal' range. Ok let me just say I'm a bit freaked out. My biology teacher told us a story of how he was hiking the grand canyon and fell off is horse and had bloody urine (knowing he had damaged himself ), and knew he needed medical help. Here I am no injury and I'm have red bloody urine.
Avatar m tn Just wanting to know what I can do to improve the kidney function or at least slow the progression of the disease. I have an appt. with a kidney dr. but not for a month yet. Would appreciate all input and your experiences with this. GFR 38 and creatinine 1.4.
Avatar f tn Now Not pregnant and my hep doctor says that I can go on enteclavir since it does not have the kidney toxicity concern. Mid anyone on enteclavir and have any side effects. Also am nursing, is it safe for baby? Doctor says enteclavir is very safe to take.
